Chapter 23- I'm Only Me When I'm With You

Zoey's POV

I may or may not have been staring at my window to the girl Ross had over. I get that we're done, but seriously he had to get a girl in a day.

Wait!! That looks like Emily, but it couldn't be, she lives in Las Vegas. And is that Violet. Wow, she's grown up. Violet is technically her little sister, but when her parents left, Emily couldn't leave Violet, so she adopted her. Almost like Grace did with me. Since Violet was so young when that happebed, she's grown up knowing Emily as her mom.

Just then Grace came in my room.

"Hi, so I know you're upset, but we have to go to the studio later."

"Okay," I said, with my voice hoarse from crying. I know Ross is taking this easy, but I'm not. 

We went to the studio, and had are average day, plus I wrote a song, can you guess what it's about? If you guessed Ross, you are totally right.

Emily's POV

Everyone in that room had their jaws dropped open and wide eyes.

"Your... Your daught," Ross stuttered.

"I can explain."

"Then do so," he was getting a little mad.

I explained the story, and now everyone in the room had quivering lips and glossing eyes.

"I'm so sorry," Ross said hugging me.

"It's fine, a lot of people have that reaction."

"Well, we kind of need to go to rehearsals now, so...," Riker said awkwardly.

We drove to  the recording studio, and I watched them do their thing. Violet sang along when she could, but eventually she fell asleep in my arms. When rehearsals were over Ross came to me.

"So, you wanna maybe go somewhere later?"

"I can't tonight, I have to put this munchkin to bed."

"Tomorrow?"

"I'll see if I have anything, but most likely I'm free."

"K, cool. Well, I'll hopefully see you tomorrow."

"Yep."

I then went home, and tucked Violet in bed.

Rydel's POV (Next Day)

Tonight Zoey and I are having a girl's night. We would invite Grace, but her, Rocky, Riker, Juliet, Ryland, and Dani are on a date. I've been trying to figure out what's going on with Ross, Zoey, and Emily, but I really don't know.

"Zoey," I called as I knocked on her door.

"Hello," she said answering the door.

"Well, who's all perky after just breaking up?"

"Haha."

"So, why are you so happy?"

"Well, first I'm going on tour in almost less then 3 weeks! Second one of my best friends are here. Third... my heart might be trying to break, but I'm holding it together."

"Well, I give props to you. But either way Ross hasn't been the same. He may be acting the same, trying to be all tough, but I know how he really feels."

"You think so?"

"Girl, I know so. And I'll always ship you two, for the record."

"Haha, don't hold your breath."

It's true, I know how Ross really feels, and I know how Zoey really feels. They need eachother, Ross had never been so happy when he was with Zoey.

"Okay, so what's first," she asked me.

"We need to catch up on everyone. I'm so lost with what's happening."

"Haha, me too. I feel like a need to make a diagram of who's with who, who knows who..."

"Okay, so Riker and Ryland got girlfriends," I mentioned.

"Seriously?!? What's their names?"

"Well, Riker is dating Juliet, who can be quiet, shy, and intimidated easily, but she's super nice, and once you get to know her she's anything but shy. Then Ryland has Dani, and from what I know, she's totally a rebel, and... really rebelious."

"Being a rebel usually means you're rebelious, Rydel."

"But still. She's just so... rebel like."

"Someone seems not to like someone," Zoey said trying not to laugh.

"Whatever," I laughed.

"And then there's Rocky and Grace, who are totally perfect for eachother."

"I know right!"

"Grace told me about her date with Rocky, it was so sweet," Zoey said.

"I know right!! Rocky told me."

"So... what's happening with you and Ellington?"

"What do you mean?"

"First, you need to work on your acting skills," she laughed. I put a pillow in my face, to stop from laughing, "Second, you know what I mean."

"Okay, fine. I like him, he likes me. But we're not dating."

"Why not," she shouted almost jumping up from the bed, "Come on, you two are perfect for eachother. One of the first things I said to Ross was that you two need to get together."

"He has a girlfriend. Amanda," I said bluntly.

"No fair."

"I'm sorry. When you and Ross get back together, I'll try to get together with Ellington."

"I thought I said don't give your hopes up?"

"Now, you and Ross are perfect for eachother. Emily's a nice girl, but she's not you. You two are better together. You're the Ally to his Austin. He's the Mickey to you're Minnie. You two aren't the same without eachother. It's like its fate, for you two to be together."

"If it's fate, then why are we not together?"

"You tell me. Just talk to him, please."

"I'll try."

The rest of her time at my house we just talked. Like old times, from the beginning of the summer.

3 updates, and doing a 4th in one day. I know these are short but, I'm doing that on purpose.
