Chapter 10- When You're Gone

Zoey's POV

I woke up in a meadow, it was the same meadow Miranda and I used to visit. I was walking down the trail we made, and saw the tree we climb. There was a chair sitting next to the tree, there was a child sitting in the chair, I went to them.

"Umm, excuse me, are you lost," I asked.

"I cant find her."

"Who can't  you find?"

"My cousin."

"Who is your cousin," the child was still facing away from me.

"Zoey," she said, as she turned around.

I was stunned. The child was Miranda. I now recognized her, her gorgeous brown hair, and her perfect blue eyes. She was my cousin, we were practically sisters, we did everything together, and I was like her older sister.

"Miranda, it's me, I'm Zoey."

"No your not, Zoey didn't have cuts on her arms," she said noticing my cuts. I told no body, I never mentioned it, I haven't for a while, but the marks are still there.

"Miranda, it's me. Don't you remember?"

"No, I don't think so. He told me not to trust anybody."

"Who did?"

"Him," she said pointing to a man. He was a good distance away from us, but I can remember him. He was my real dad, when I was 4 I was taken by the police to a new family. Before that I abused, my mom told me everything would be okay, but when she disappeared, everything was worse.

"Zoey, I see you've found Miranda, well, she's mine now," he said approaching us.

"I remember, your my cousin. Zoey I've missed you," Miranda said hugging me.

"I missed you to, but I'm with you now, forever."

"No, you have to go back. Please, for me, I'll be fine, go do what you were born to do, and remember i love you, and sometimes being strong doesn't mean holding back tears, but letting them fall," I now had tears rolling from my eyes.

"I love you to Miranda, I'll miss you."

"Oh, but you wont have to miss her," my 'dad' said to me.

"Don't touch her. she's an angel."

"To late. You've come to late," I looked back to Miranda. Her hair was now tangles, she had tear stains on her cheeks, just like on the day she died.

"Miranda," I whimpered.

"I'll always watch you," she said, before she fell on the ground, screaming in pain.

"Miranda," I screamed, before everything went black again.

I woke up, but this time in a bed, I had no idea where I was. I tried moving my arm up, but I winced in pain. My whole body was sore.

"Zoey," I heard a familiar voice say. I looked at the person.

"Ross?"

"I'm so glad your awake," he said, and starting hugging me.

"I haven't been gone that long, have I?"

"You've been in coma for 2 weeks."

Ooooh---- Anyways... so how did you like the chapter? Now you mostly know who Miranda is. There's still a little more. So I might post later.
