Chapter 31- You've Got A Friend In Me

Ellington's POV

I was sitting at the bus' kitchen table with Riker, Rocky, Rydel, and Grace. We were talking about our plans for the day, when a gloomy looking Ryland came out. 

"Hey," he said blankly.

"You okay," Rocky asked.

"What do you think?"

"Nevermind then," Rocky mummbled back.

We sat around awkwardly for about 10 minutes, when Riker decided to speak up. 

"Okay, this is killing me! I'm gonna go cheer you up, come on, Ryland," Riker said, about to drag Ryland off the tour bus.

"Wait, hold up! We all know what happened when you took him last time. Ryland, you're coming with me," I said.

"Come on guys, I don't really want-," Ryland started to say.

"Then it's settled. Ryland, you have 20 minutes to get ready."

"Fine."

~20 Minutes Later~

"Finally, you're ready lets go," I pulled Ryland out of the bus.

"So, what are we gonna do?"

"There's a local theme park, prepare yourself to ride the coasters."

"Great," he said sarcastly.

"This is going to be harder than planned."

We got to the theme park, and started riding rides. We got pictures for all the rides we went on, but Ryland stared blankly in all of them.... while I was screaming in terror.

"Come on, can't you be a little excited," I beg of him.

"Yippee, riding rides with the sun burning me, and you screaming in my ear. I mean, what could be more fun?"

"Ugh, you're impossible. Let's go get lunch."

"Can we go to bus after that?"

"Nope, I paid for all day tickets, and I'm not leaving a second before that."

"You're cheap, you know that?"

"And proud."

We got lunch, and went on some more rides. Which was not our smartest idea to eat then rides right after. 

"Attention riders, the park closes in 5 minutes," the intercom said.

"YES," Ryland shouted happily.

"Wow, that's the happiest I've seen you all day."

"Yea, ok, can we go now?"

"Sure."

We went back to the bus, Ryland still as gloom as ever.

"I give up, he's impossible," I said as we entered the bus.

"Hey," Ryland tries to defend himself.

"So I'll take it your day went well," Zoey says sarcastically.

"Whatever," Ryland says, "Who's that."

He said pointing at somebody new in the bus.

Ryland's POV

"Ryland, this is Anamaria. Anamaria, this is Ryland. Although you probably could've figured that out," Zoey says.

Anamaria is beautiful. She has ginger hair and pale skins with freckles.

"H-hi," I stutter.

"Hi," she said shyly.

"I can already see the sparks fly," Grace said.

"Oh brother," I muttered, Anamaria giggled, "So do you wanna hang out some time?"

"Sure," Anamaria responded.

"Well, I'm going to bed," Ellington said. Everyone else agreed, except Anamaria and I.

"So tell me about yourself," I asked her.

"Well, my parents help in the crew for R5, and I'm learning, so they take me on tours."

"Oh, that's cool."

We talked for a few hours, until we were trying to stay awake.

"Well, I better head back to the crew's bus," Anamaria said, about to leave.

"Wait, why don't you just stay in our bus tonight?"

"Where would I sleep?"

"We have an extra bunk. Please?"

"Okay, let me just call my mom."

"Okay."

As she walked away I fist bumped the air. As you could tell I was pretty happy.

"She said yes, so I'm gonna go to bed," Anamaria said.

"I'll get some of Rydel's pajamas for you to wear."

"I'll be here."

I went to the back lounge wear we keep some of our clothes, as I opened the door I saw everyone sitting their watching TV.

"Have you guys been here the whole time," I asked.

"Nooo.....," Riker trailed off.

"Uhuh, sure."

"We just wanted to give you guys some time alone," Ross wiggled his eyebrows.

"We're just friends."

"Yea, okay," Rocky smirked.

"We are!"

"Just go out to you 'friend'," Zoey said, putting air quotes around friend.

"I shall," I walked out, then remembered something, "Rydel, can Anamaria use a pair of your pajamas?"

She laughed, then found a pair throwing them at me.

"Thanks."

I walked back to Anamaria in the front of the bus.

"Hey," I greeted her, "Here's the pajamas."

"Thanks, I'm gonna go change."

"Okay."

She went to change, and after that we joined everyone else for the movie.

We really are just friends. And I want it to stay that way. I love how I feel I can talk to her about anything, it helps. But we're just friends.

So their you go. It's kind of short, but I didn't know what else to write. Plus, I wrote most of it last night, and I was exhausted.

Now, I'm watching Monsters Inc., so I shall go cry.
