You sat in your quarters, drinking some tea.
'Is it true, you can hear when people think of you?' Rang through your head. You smiled. Loki.
You tell me you replied to his head.
'Come here.'
He didn't sound happy. You grabbed your sword and spun it once around your head, appearing in front of him.
"Is everything alright?" You asked putting the sword across your back. He was sitting on a bench in the gardens looking into the fountain.
"Can I ask you something personal?" He asked. You cocked an eyebrow and took a seat next to him.
He was looking oddly at his hands.
"Sure." You replied. Loki looked up, from his hands back to the fountain. "The tales say you were born of Surtr, others say your half and half.." he said. You looked down.
"And, judging by your appearance, you look quite asgardian." He said. "So, where are you truly from?" He asked looking at you. "How did you become the Flame goddess?" He asked curiously.
You sighed and lifted your legs onto the seat criss crossing them.
"Well, I uh, I crawled out of a volcano and killed a few men and one lived and wrote a book." You said sarcastically and he smiled and slightly laughed.
"Honestly. If you don't want to say it I can just look myself." He smiled. You sighed. "You might not like what you see." You Smiled sadly.
"Well tell me then," he said turning to you. "Are you asgardian?" He asked. You shook your head. "Half and half?" "Possibly."
He looked down.
"I'm asking, because I recently learnt something, and I'm looking for how to accept that..." he said quietly.
You tilted your head. "Is this of what you were yelling with Odin over?" You asked. He nodded.
He looked to you. "So it's said fire giants, they can change form sort of such as how you look asgardian, so- is this how you normally look?" You contemplated.
"I'm sorry, is this too personal?" He asked. "No, no you're fine-" You Smiled.
"Well you see," you said and vanished your armor away into a plain red t-shirt and black leather shorts.
"I, am not half and half. I am the daughter of Surtr and Sinamara." You said. He slightly widened his eyes.
"You're the rightful queen of Muspelheim." He said. You nodded. "Yes, that i am."
"So when Odin, killed Surtr and Sinmara, long after you had left, you just decided you didn't want Muspelheim? Your home?"
"Muspelheim is NOT my home." You laughed. He cocked an eyebrow.
"So what do you consider your home?" He asked.
"Well I'd consider Asgard my home, see when Odin killed Surtr and I began my travels as they call it, I spent a great deal of time here." You Smiled.
"Yes I remember the first time you ever came to Asgard." He smiled. "You do?" You questioned. He nodded.
"I remember Odin brining you into the castle, you were hurt." He frowned. You sighed.
"Yea, I remember being brought to the castle and rushed to the healing rooms." You said recalling the memory. "You rode on my horse." He said.
You looked to him. "Did I really?" You asked. "You did." He laughed and you laughed with him.
You both sat for a moment.
"What do you look like when you- ya know." He said.
You looked to him. "Would you like to see?" You asked. He nodded. "Promise you won't hate me." You laughed holding a pinky up.
He laughed and hooked his pinky with yours.
You stood up and allowed yourself to go to your fire giant form. Your skin turned to look like ashes, hints of flame shining through in places, your eyes a distinct red and your hair, setting to flame.
You looked to him and he stood.
He sighed, and you watched as you could see his breath.
You watched, in a daze, as he took form of a frost giant.
"You-" "I didn't know either." He said.
He reached a hand to you, you put yours on his, his hand slightly steaming, yours cooling, you canceled each other out, and your hands went back to human form.
You both pulled away.
"Well." You said changing back to your normal appearance as he did.
"Yeah." He said. "Um." You stuttered.
"I want to destroy Jotunheim, once and for all." He said after a long pause.
"Loki, you can't." You laughed thinking it was a joke.
"But I can." He said sternly looking to your eyes.
Your smile dropped.
You swallowed your argument and put a hand on his jaw, he dropped his head some leaning against it.
"Please," You said and he looked back to you.
"Be careful. You may be a frost giant, but you are not a monster." You said, seeing a glimpse of a thought of him yelling at Odin.
"I am.. I truly am the monster parents tell their children about at night-"
"You think me a monster?" You asked. His eyes snapped back to yours and your dropped your hand. He slowly started shaking his head.
You smiled.
"You're not a monster," you said stood on your tip toes to peck his cheek.
"My king." You Smiled and he smiled back.
"Thank you 'Nala." He smiled.
You slightly bowed and he slightly chuckled, you turned to leave, but you both stopped seeing when the bifrost opened.
"I thought the bifrost was closed?" You asked.
"It is." He glared.
