The next day at school I was anxious to meet the student Meiko was talking about.
"Ok class ive moved someone else in our class, please welcome Utatane Piko' she said
"She is so cute!" a boy shouted.
"I'm a boy" Piko corrected him.
Meiko sat him in front of me.
"You must be Fukase" Piko said with confidence
"Yea" said
"Im a school councilor" Piko said proudly.
"Im a school newbie" I said
Piko laughed
"You have a sense of humor so why don't you have friends?" Piko asked me
"Gee I wish I knew" I said
"Oh sorry, didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable" Piko said shaking his hands.
"Its ok" I said to relax him
"Maybe you can come sit with me at lunch" Piko said
"Hmm" I said
"Its just me and one other person right now" Piko assured me
"But what about the teacher?" I asked
"She asked me to let you sit with us." Piko said with a smile.
