Chapter 16: Finishing Silver

Everyone spends the next week training and preparing. They sometimes fought enemies, others a little sparing match. They had even ensured that they upgrade their armor and buy as many healing items as possible. But now the time has come.

Risa: "Number six."

William, Risa, and the others meet up in front of a login.

Edo: "Let's beat the next one and get one step closer to reaching them!"

Zack is still trying to get over Tori.

Micheal: "We're going to find them Zack."

Zack: "Yeah..."

They log in.

Andrea: "Hiding and waiting the game."

Serena: "Is the next boss like that on both sides?"

Twins/ Cole: "Yeah."

They make one last item check and leave town.

Risa: "What're we going to expect?"

Isabel: "Well our side has a giant laser spewing eyeball..."

Anthony: "... of death."

They come to a canyon with a staircase leading down.

Emily: "Here we go."

They begin to descend.

William: "I'll know the attack pattern so I'll say when."

It begins to get darker.

Robert: "Almost there."

They arrive at the bottom, with a faint red light surrounding the area.

Micheal: "(readying sword) Now where is-"

They find a person dangling just above the light.

Andrea: "(shocked) Is that the-"

They find the head to be a 20 foot diameter eyeball.

Girls: "(grossed out) That's disgusting!"

Guys: "(grossed out) It's the spawn of Satan!"

A laser begins to charge around the eyeball.

William: "Run!"

They all dive out of the way of the blast.

Serena: "That was close!"

The creature becomes stunned.

William: "Now we-"

Everyone starts wailing on the thing.

William: "Hey!"

Edo: "It's not that hard to figure out the timing."

It begins to stabilize itself.

Emily: "Jump back!"

Everyone gets away.

Risa: "This is seriously it?"

Cole: "Our side has the same thing so it shouldn't have any surprises."

They dodge more lasers.

Asaka: "That really is the entire thing."

Shining Hope: "Lame."

They rinse repeat this process for the next HOUR, until the boss finally dies and gets Risa to Lv30.

Anthony: "(groaning) Thank god that's over."

William, Robert, Micheal, and Andrea have a look of dread on their faces.

Andrea: "Gold..."

Cole: "Aren't the next three Gold?"

Micheal: "Just prepare like never before because we have NO idea what we're going against."

Roy: "We have no idea either."

They log out as they get a message from Walker.

Isabel: "Walker is developing an upgrade to the Bio-Link."

Zack: "Bio-Link Z?"

They all ponder the upgrade for a minute.

Emily: "We can ask Walker when he has it closer to completion."

Cole: "We also should remain focused on the Gold and take down Anti-Aegis to save everyone."

They all split up.

Risa: "(in head) I have all the motivation I need. (out loud) New episodes of super are out today."

William: "(sighing) I'll leave you alone."

They get home only to have Risa immediately jump onto a computer.
