Chapter 3: Our Current Situation

Shining Star is still hanging out on the outskirts of the town. and Risa became Lv3 in that time frame.

William: "Huh?"

Risa: "What?"

Everyone gets a message on their ID Gloves.

Anthony: "Walker wants us over now?"

Risa: "What the hell are you talking about?"

Andrea: "(in head) She's slow for a different reason than Kyle and Anthony."

Isabel: "Basically our boss wants us over."

Risa: "So you all have jobs."

Micheal: "Yeah and he seems urgent about it."

The seven begin to log out.

Risa: "(sighing) Might as well go with you, don't want mom to question why I came back early without you."

All eight log out.

Risa: "(sighing) Where do you guys work?"

They exit the building.

Robert: "At the HQ for Pixel Reality."

The group begins heading for the center of town.

Kyle: "Thank god that it isn't far."

The group arrives at PR HQ a few minutes later.

Andrea: "We need to head to the top floor."

The group enters the elevator shortly after walking in.

William: "And don't worry, when you're with us you can get pretty much anywhere in the building."

They begin to ascend after Micheal gives the elevator a quick swipe of the ID Glove.

Risa: "(in awe) It feels like one of those steampunk anime..."

Kyle: "Is anime seriously the one thing you think about?"

They arrive at the top floor and finds Walker pacing back and forth.

Walker: "(impatient) Where are they?"

Robert: "Right here."

Walker: "(startled) I didn't see you all there!"

They see Caleb sitting in the corner.

Micheal: "Caleb is still having corner issues?"

Walker: "He has every right to today. I received a message... from Aegis."

Seven of their jaws drop as Risa begins to daydream about anime.

Kyle: "(shocked) She's already ready for round two?!"

William: "(shocked) What was the message?!"

Walker sends William a copy to his ID Glove.

William: "She wants us here?"

Risa: "(snapping out of it) What are you talking about?"

Walker notices Risa.

Walker: "Who is she?"

William: "(sighing) My half-sister Risa. My mom had her become a Player and have her join Shining Star."

Isabel: "We can also confirm that she has the RX gene."

Walker: "I see... what's her class?"

Risa: "Martial Artist."

Walker does a small thing on his computer.

Walker: "Well even if you don't really help the others much, take this."

A green light begins flashing on her ID Glove.

Walker: "So your Player ID is Otaku. I can see the Player ID's of Shining Star with the latest tweak I made to the system."

Kyle: "You just gave her a gem weapon?"

Walker: "Yes, if she decides to help any of you to some capacity, she'll be ready for it."

Risa: "What's a gem weapon?"

Micheal: "The best set of weapons you can get in Pixel Reality."

Andrea: "Aqua Fist is the name of it if I remember correctly."

Walker: "Enough time has been wasted! The scanning room is ready to send you to the requested location."

Anthony: "(cocky) Relax, we've got this no problem."

Isabel: "(in head) But the message referenced a partner... who is this new partner?"

The group begins to walk into a room on the side as they pass by Caleb.

Caleb: "(afraid) Kill her..."

William: "(encouraging) We'll do what we can."

Risa: "(sighing) Might as well meet this Aegis person."

The eight enter the scanning room.

Walker: "Just note that I won't be able to do anything else for you all so be careful."

Everyone places their ID Gloves in a pedestal.

Micheal: "We'll be fine."

Everyone vanishes.
