Chapter 11: Augments 3

The next morning...

Risa: "(daydreaming) Roy..."

William and Risa are currently eating breakfast.

William: "Don't tell me you fell me you have a crush on Roy."

Risa: "He referenced the symbol of peace."

In front of a Login building...

Roy: "(daydreaming) Risa..."

Cole: "Are you seriously in love with Risa?"

Roy: "Anime..."

Cole and Roy are currently waiting on the others.

Cole: "(sighing) Well we still need to wait on the others."

Two hours later everyone shows up and Risa and Roy begin to blush when they see each other.

Tori: "So what're we doing today?"

William: "Today we should go see Walker and see if he has anything on Anti-Aegis, but we should handle getting Risa some augments first."

William points to a building next to the login.

Emily: "Those are special little chips that fit into those slots on an ID Glove right?"

Edo: "Yes, but we can't use them."

They step inside.

Andrea: "Now let's give you a rundown on-"

Micheal/ Twins: "No, we've been through this too many times."

Risa: "(bluntly) Pick up to four augments and put them into the slots on my ID Glove. I know this."

Robert: "But where's the fun in that?"

Isabel: "There was no fun in that to begin with."

Risa buys some EXP up, strength up, scanner, and skill recharge up augments and inserts them into her ID Glove.

Risa: "(bluntly) Let's just go."

Serena: "I kind of don't want to know what you guys were talking about."

Anthony: "I'd rather not describe it anyway."

Shining Hope arrives at PR HQ a half hour later.

Edo: "Going up."

They step inside the elevator as it begins to go up.

Kyle: "He'd better have something."

They arrive at the top floor.

Micheal: "Hey Walker."

Walker has a look of dread on his face as he stares at Walker and Caleb remains in a corner.

Zack: "Walker?"

Walker: "(out of it) The Players are gone, but they're code is still here."

William walks up and gives Walker a quick shake.

William: "(annoyed) What the hell did you find out Walker?!"

Walker snaps back to reality.

Walker: "S-Sorry everyone, but just look."

William sees that the Players are gone, but they're avatars are still present.

William: "Is this part of Anti-Aegis's plan?!"

Walker: "They may be using the fallen Players to increase their overall power."

Zack: "Well shit."

Tori: "So the hundreds of Players that fell..."

Cole: "... going to be used against us."

Walker: "I've locked out all of the Players for both games besides all of you."

Caleb: "(afraid) She's gonna come back..."

Micheal pats Caleb on the back.

Micheal: "(encouraging) We're not gonna let them keep this up."

Walker: "How is your strengthening process?"

Isabel: "We just got Risa past the Bronze Class and just about to start the Silver today."

Asaka: "We do have a lot of time before this supposed time limit is up."

Roy: "We still should keep going as fast as we can!"

Walker: "I also can't lose you all. You're the last hope to save us from Anti-Aegis."

Shining Hope: "We've got this!"

Risa: "Let's just log in and get going on the levels!"

Everyone logs in as Caleb has a spark of hope in his eyes.
