Part 1

"Could it be something he ordered?"

The words that escaped from the Akechi's lips broke the deadly still of silence. What the Detective Prince had said caught the attention of everyone within the vicinity. The detectives exclaimed, believing that if the young detective had said it himself then it was the most reasonable possibility.

Their trust and respect to the Ace Detective was that much.

"Order?" The senior inspector asked the manager.

"If you select from the touch-screen menu, it will be placed on a bowl on the belt. It will beep as a reminder when it reaches your seat." The manager answered.

"So, the one sitting to the right of the victim..."

"Impossible!" The old lady defended herself. "I couldn't see the touch-screen so I wouldn't know what that man ordered from my seat! I wouldn't have been able to poison his plate!"

"Then the one who could see..." The inspector trailed. "Was Aizono-san, who was sitting beside the victim..."

"H-hold on please!" The man in cap exclaimed, "Didn't I say that I sit on the left, and the sushi comes from right? Even if I knew what Hayashimura-san would eat, he would've taken it before it reached me!"

"Besides, the manager can see the touch-screen too!" The man in cap said as he shifted the blame. "The manager stood behind him after their little spat!"

"Is that true?" The senior detective confirmed.

"Ah, yes... When I told him that the meal was on the house, he said, 'Oh, it's free?' then he ate more... I stayed with him to make sure he won't cause any more trouble...

At that time, he didn't order from the restaurant menu, you can then use the PC to confirm it..." The manager continued.

"Confirm that!" Hearing the orders of the senior inspector, the young detective obeyed.

"Um, but officer aren't you forgetting something?" The statement of the old lady caught the attention of the officers.

"You already did a body check on us, and neither of us has a poison container or poison-soaked handkerchief!"

"And yet... you still suspect us..." The manager added.

"Don't you think the culprit was one of those who already left? That might be the reason why you couldn't find a poison container among us!" The man in cap suggested.

"In other words... without finding the culprit, we can't identify how Hayashimura-san was attacked..." The senior detective said.

However, the Ace Detective Goro Akechi simply disregarded those complaints. He was busy thinking about the possible methods the culprit could use to commit the murder to pay a penny of thoughts on a childish argument.

"Left..." Akechi trailed. It grabbed the attention of the crowd, and there was another moment of silence.

"Mochizuki-san," Akechi called out to the girl. "Didn't you say that you found grains of rice in his fingers?"
