It was a narrow road. The sun has already set a few hours ago. It was one of those cloudy days where the moon cannot be seen, and the smell of rain was fresh. Aside from the distributed smell of rain, there was some sort of smell of iron lingering in the area. . . Or maybe it was the smell of blood.
There stood in the middle of the narrow road was a girl with short silver hair, wearing a torn black dress. Her eyes were expressionless, like a doll's eyes.
The cold wind of autumn touched the girl's skin. She let out a soft pant from her fuschia doll lips. Her breaths echoed, which only showed how silence was piercing through her ears.
There was no one to be seen, yet footsteps were soon heard.
Goosebumps crawled to the girl's soft skin, as she fell to her knees. Her petite hands laid upon a red spider lily on the cold ground, as she lowered her sight to take a look.
All of a sudden a pair of fingers was felt on the girl's chin which lifted her face up... Only to see no one in front of her.
As she stared into blankness with those lifeless eyes, a mysterious sound made it to her ears.
The girl's cerulean orbs finally came to life, as she turned her head to take a look around, searching for the sound. It seemed to be from a music box of all sorts, making a neat and slow sound that was driving the girl crazy.
"Where... where the hell am I?" The girl muttered under her breath. "Why am I here?"
The girl stood and walked at a fast pace while looking around the entire area. She seemed to be obsessed with searching for the source of the music box. Even if she felt that her body was brushing against an unseen presence, she ignored it.
The narrow road finally came to an end- but only showed branches of the road, one going to the right, while the other going to the left. She turned her body to the left, as she looked afar trying to see its end, but to no luck. The same thing was for the right.
The music box was still playing, then she took around three steps forward, only to hear the music fading. Walking to the other way of the road, the music intensified which served as a cue for her to proceed.
She took more steps leaning forward, but then she decided to bother to look back- only to see a black mist as if the previous road she went to was gone.
A black figure was vaguely seen, aside from its growing smile.
She felt goosebumps crawl to her skin again, as the wind blew more. She looked in front of the road again... but felt an unseen presence once again.
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
Tears flew from her eyes as she shut it down, running without thinking about ahead of the road.
As she was running in the fastest pace her short legs could take her, the music was intensifying.
A hint of light was flashed to her closed eyes, as she opened it to see an octagon shaped room with seven mirrors. It was the only light in the dark road, and so she went in.
In the middle of the room was the music box.
She then knelt down looking at it so lovingly with a broken smile and said, "This is the piece I made with..."
Suddenly, she looked at the music box in horror, and it was as if her mind and shut down. She couldn't remember any bit of her memories in childhood.
