Jaime Lannister is the first born son of Lord Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West, and Hand to the King. He has a twin sister, Cersei Lannister who is betrothed to Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. Jaime Lannister is betrothed to Arya Stark, daughter of Lord Rickard Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. Jaime had originally planned to become a Kingsguard to King Aerys II Targaryen as his sister would eventually be Queen, but his father insisted upon the engagement between him and Arya. Jaime and Cersei have been involved in an incestuous relationship since their young teenage years; however, since learning of his engagement Jaime has ceased all incestuous behavior and has fully committed himself to his future wife, which has severely impacted his relationship with his sister. Jaime does have a younger brother, Tyrion, who is an Imp. Jaime does his best to protect him, but, as he has been away from Casterly Rock squiring for Ser Barristan Selmy (as boys of seventeen do, but as he often reminds others, he is a man grown now at the age of twenty-two) he hasn't been able to defend his brother as much as he might wish. With the wedding fast approaching, Jaime is returning to Casterly Rock to meet his future wife.
