Witch Huntress (Part 2)

Akko POV

"Here is what you earned." Daryl grinned as she handed me a cart with some suitcases stacked up. I looked at each of them, it was only five identically looking. I took hold of the crate and tried to move it, yet it seemed as if it were glued onto the ground.

"What's up with this." I grunted as I tried pushing it. I looked back but Daryl was nowhere in sight. I gave it one more hard push, a single thought of Diana popped into my head and then all the suitcases fell, opening and the gold falling into a deep void.

I let out a gasp and woke up in cold sweat, I breathed rapidly and pushed my hair back. I stared down to the other side of my bed where Diana was laying, she woke up with some worry visible in her face. She wiped some drool off her face and in a groggy tone asked, "Are you okay." I looked at her and gave her a weak smile. "Yes, sorry that I woke you up. It was a bad dream." I softly said as I gave her a small peck and pushed her back down to bed. "Go back to bed. You've got work in a few more hours." I said noticing the time reading 3:29 AM. She quickly went back to sleep.

After years I keep having that restless dream, though, this time it was just a small part, only the ending that was still fresh in my mind that is. The whole dre- nightmare, is like a never-ending eternity, I want to wake up so badly, yet it feels as if I'm stuck there forever. I looked at Diana and once again I felt my heart rate speed up and my breathing seemed to waver.

I took one deep breath in and slowly let it out, after that I lay back down to bed and stared at the ceiling hoping I will go back to sleep, but I knew better.

I sat up and put on the nearest slippers I could find. I headed out the room towards the living room and headed to the kitchen.

I had some cookies and some milk then went to the living room and set everything down on a small table in the middle of the livingrooms's furniture.

I watched random crap on TV for two hours just until Diana woke up.

"Akko you know I hate this, right." Diana huffed as she sat down next to me and snuged in close. I draped my arm around her and gave her a grin, "What all the affection and love I give you." I joked as I gave her multiple kisses on her cheek and jaw. I saw a bit of a smile start to form on her face as she turned to me and gave me a quick peck on the lips.

"No, I mean you not being able to sleep because of whatever traumatizing dream of yours. I think that if you just tell me about it, you will be able to sleep better, I will certainly help you." She said looking me in the eye.

"Sorry Diana." I mumbled, "I'm not ready yet." I sighed. She glared at me then briskly stood up. "Fine, then I guess you wouldn't be ready for this relationship either." She sneered as she left towards the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. I flinched a bit then looked back at the TV with a frown.

"You two seem in a bad mood. Trouble in paradise." Amanda asked as she gave us a grin. Diana rolled her eyes and let out a huff, "Don't shove your nose to where it doesn't belong." She said, Amanda responded with a glare and stuck her tongue out like a little child.

I had no idea Diana had the day off today from work, so we just passed the time hanging out with the others at Lotte's place. It was me, Diana, Sucy, Lotte, Amanda, Constanze, Jansminka, Hanna and Barbara. It was alright to say the least, but quite uncomforting, with Diana being mad at me and all.
