Diana POV...

I couldn't help but just stare at Akko as she whined and fanned her mouth after scalding it. "Agh! Sometimes this is the reason I hate coffee. Where is Hanna when you need her, she knows how to make coffee to my preference."

I grunted in amusement now remembering how much of a buffoon she really was. She proves to be a prominent detective, it's as if she is a totally different person when engrossed in a case, one could easily forget about her screw-ups.

She let out huff as she took a sip of water. "Oh speaking of Hanna! Did you know she is..." I frowned as she went on and on about her friend whom I had no interest in.

"Yes quite the story there Akko, but what about you?" I said, enjoying how flustered she got just by me calling her by her nickname. "What about me?" she repeated. "Well tell me some things I don't know yet. Something that isn't work related." I explained. Why I was so invested in her, I don't know. Sure she may be a Kagari, but really to me that's no more than a name, and she saw me the same. "Well, I like magic." she said having a coin appear out of air right in front of my eyes. "Usually card magic." she added. "Maybe teach me a trick or two." I suggested. "Yeah, they aren't so hard once you get the hang of it." she grinned. "Other than magic, what other hobbies do you have?" I asked.

That afternoon I ended up learning a lot of her. Apparently a lot was expected of her in her family for being the daughter of the best criminals throughout the family bloodline. She knew she wanted to become a detective since the day her parents were arrested, but she was smart enough to keep it secret in order to not be seen as a disgrace. So she learned all techniques of her family members, she was smart enough that somehow, having an idea of a criminal's psyche would be her advantage. As soon as it was found out she was part of the Police Division she was disowned. She claimed she was afraid that out of spite someone of the family will come and murder her. But she knew she was under the protection of her mother.

"What about you Diana?" she asked. "What do you wish to know about me?" I asked. "Your hobbies other than work." she said. I smiled, "Well, my life is pretty much filled up with work, when I do have free time like now, usually I enjoy spending it with more work. I've thought that maybe if I found someone special I could fill that free time gap with anything but work." I replied. "I see. But what about Andrew Hanbridge? I thought he was your boyfriend. Seeing you two hang out quite a lot." she chuckled. I cringed at the thought of me being with him. "He's my cousin." I replied. "No way! Really?! I mean both of you are a stick in the mud, total pricks. So you two being related shouldn't be much of a surprise." She shrugged, which only made me glare at her.

"Okay now we talk about work." I huffed. "Hm? You angry Diana?" She asked. "No. I just want to know if you have an idea of who our prime suspects are." I said trying to calm myself. She smiled, "Fine you stick in the mud." I let out a groan, but nonetheless giggled as she tittered. "For now it's these five, but you can scratch out Amanda O'Neil, since she has been incarcerated during the most recent robbery. Also Jasminka Antoneko since has been out in her honeymoon." She explained. I looked down on the list of names, one of them catching my attention, I'm surprised Akko even listed it down. "Barbara Parker..." Akko grinned, "Yeah that surprised me, but I'm sure she's innocent." she forced a laugh.

"So we are left with these three. I'll go ahead and take over questioning for these girls." I said now taking my leave, not before leaving some money on the table to pay for our tab.

"Wait Diana!" Akko reached me and handed over some money. "This is my part. I can't accept money from the likes of you." she said, which did piss me off. I let out a grunt and ignored her.

"I can pay for my part Diana." And somehow as she passed me, without even feeling it she had already put the money inside my coat pocket. The inner pocket no less. "Let me guess, your grandfather? Best pickpocket around." I joked. She grinned, "Funny. No. My mother was way better, pickpocketed my Father, that's how they met. Quite romantic believe it or not." she smirked, "But my mom didn't teach me anything, I'm self taught. Comes in handy with magic." She grinned as she held out my car keys and my earrings. "Impressive Akko." I smirked seeing her face redden. She let out a groan and tossed over my stuff. "See you tomorrow." She waved.
