Luke's POV

"Boys dinner." I hear Mama yell.
"We'll be right down." I yell down the stairs. I grab Harper and put her down in her crib and then I grab Shelton and put him in his. Hopefully they get some rest and I can get a little break to spend time with family.
" Hank let's go eat before they need something." I say helping Hank up and down stairs.
"How are the little ones doing?" Mama asks as Hank and I walk in kitchen.
"They seem to be doing just fine. They love it when Hank and I hold them, especially if we rock or bounce them." I tell her sitting down at the table.
"Awww, that's exactly how you were Luke." Kelly chimes in.
" Really?" I ask.
" Luke I couldn't get you to sleep unless I rocked you to sleep and to get you to stop crying I had to bounce you." Mama says sitting down at the opposite end of the table then Dad.
"My little difficult Luther." Hank laughs as he slowly places his hand on my thigh.
"Alright y'all." Dad says, glaring at Hank.
"Hank, sweetie why don't you say grace?" My mama asks him.
"He's probably never prayed before." Dad growls.
"I'll do it." Hank says, staring right at Dad.
        "Go ahead hun." Mama says.
"Dear Heavenly Father, we ask that you bless this food we are about to receive to nourish our bodies, we thank you for this growing family and for Luke and I's healthy children. Please look over this family and keep everyone safe and happy, Amen." Hank prays. I look over at him and smile after everyone says amen. Hank looks over at dad and smirks a little.
"Hank, are you not going to eat?" Kelly asks, looking at him.
"I can't, I'm sure it's delicious though." Hank sighs.
"When will you be able too?" Kelly asks, before she takes bite of a piece of chicken.
"Well, hopefully in the next month or so." Hank replies. Everyone starts talking except Hank and I. I just focus on eating my food so I can go upstairs so I can feed the babies and Hank.
"Luke, you're being awfully quiet tonight. Are you okay?" Chris asks, looking over at me.
" Yeah, I'm fine. I just have a few things I need to get done after I eat." I tell him taking the last bite of my food.
"Oh, okay." Chris says, looking down.
"Mama, may Hank and I be excused please?" I ask Mama.
"Yes, you may but put your plate in the sink first." She says. Hank and I get up, Hank heads up stairs and I put my plate in the sink and wash it off. Then I head up stairs to my room. When I get up there I walk in my and see the most beautiful thing ever. Hank is laying on my bed with Harper on one side of him and Shelton on the other side, he has an arm around each of them.
"I love you so much." I tell Hank as I sit down at his feet.
"I love you too baby." He smiles. I take Shelton from him and sit beside him. Once I begin feeding Shelton, Hank lays Harper in my other arm.
"Babe, I think we should get our own place." I say, looking down at Hank.
"Honey, um I don't have the money right now. My ex, Gwen, is getting my house in Tennessee because of the Alimony I've missed paying since I haven't been touring." Hank admits.
"Baby, why didn't you tell me sooner? We're in this together." I tell him as I take his hand.
"We've been busy with the kids and you've been having to deal with me, I just thought it might be too much." He sighs, looking down.
"Babe I want to know absolutely everything about your life." I tell him as I get up and put the babies in their cribs. I walk back to my bed and slide under the covers.
"You hungry, my love?" I ask Hank as I rub his face. He nods and slowly moves up to where I am and begins to eat.
"Luke?" Chris asks as he knocks on the door.
      "Yeah, come in." I respond.
" Mom wants to know if you wanted any pie?"'Chris asks opening the door and walking in my room.
"I don't really want anything else to eat right now and I'm kinda busy." I say, looking down at Hank. I guess Chris didn't see Hank when he walk in until I said something.
"Okay,I'll go tell her and leave you guys alone." Chris says as he walks out of my room shutting the door behind him, with a confused look on his face.
"Baby, I want to know something and I want the truth." I say to Hank. Hank stops feeding and looks at me.
"Hank, what to you see for us on the road ahead?" I ask him.
"I don't know but I do know that I see us being together for ever." Hanks tells me as he smiles, and goes back to feeding. I begin to to rub his back and a soon fall asleep. I'm soon awaken by Hank pulling down my sweatshirt and moving to get under the covers. I feel Hank get closer to me so I snuggle up against his chest and fall fast asleep. I'm awaken by a small cry, I get up and see which baby it is before Hank and the other baby wakes up. I look and see it's Harper my baby girl. I pick her up and start to bounce her in my arms as I check her diaper.
"Yuck." I whisper, as I walk over the changing table and lay Harper down. I begin to change her diaper, when I do she begins screaming.
"Shhhh, please be quiet." I whisper. I look over at the bed and see Hank moving, then Shelton begins screaming. "Fuck." I say.
I finish changing Harper and pick them both up and begin bouncing them. I then sit down on the bed and begin feeding them. I look over and see that Hank is awake and has tears streaming down his face.
"Baby boy, go back to sleep honey." I say as I rub his thigh. I look over at my clock and see that it is almost two in the morning. After a few minutes Harper and Shelton stop feeding and being to fall asleep, I get up and walk over to there cribs. I put Harper in hers and Sheltons in his. I walk back over to my bed, slide under the covers and snuggle into Hank's chest and soon fall asleep. I wake up yet again to crying, I look over and see that it is almost seven o'clock. I get up and see that it is Shelton this time who is crying. I immediately pick him up and take him over to the changing table. I change his diaper and he soon falls back asleep. I lay him down in his crib before heading down stairs to the kitchen.
"Good morning, sweetheart." Mama says as I walk in, her and daddy are sitting at the table drinking coffee.
"Hi." I reply as I yawn.
"How are the babies?" Mama asks.
"Loud." I answer as I sit down.
"You need to get Hank's lazy ass up to take care of them babies." Dad chimes in.
"He's still recovering, Dad. He needs as much rest as possible." I say. Dad rolls his eyes and gets up from the table. After a few minutes I lay my head down on the counter and close my eyes.
"Luke, honey, we need to talk." Mama says. I look up at her, slightly annoyed.
"What?" I ask.
"Your daddy says you either go back to school and Hank gets a job or y'all leave." She informs me. I look at her in disbelief.
"Hank isn't capable of working right now, and I'm not going back to school at least not here." I say getting angry at what I've just heard.
"Well you have two options, you can get your doctor to write a note to the school saying your homebound or you and Hank can move out." She says take another sip of her coffee. I walk back up stairs to my room and see that Hank is awake. I walk over to my bed and sit down.
"Baby, we have to get our own place." I tell him leaning my head on his shoulder.
"What do you mean?" Hank asks me, as he looks down at my face.
"My dad said that either I go back to school and you get a job or we leave." I tell him beginning to cry.
"Okay well I'll call my manger and ask her how much I have made since the accident. Where do you wanna live at?" Hanks asks me wiping the tears from my eyes.
"I don't know. All we need is a small house for our small little family." I tell him, before I plant a kiss on his lips.
"Well I think I can make that happen." Hank says as he gives me a kiss.
"Why don't I leave you alone so you can call who you need to call and I'm gonna go look in the paper and see what houses there are." I tell Hank getting up and walking out of my room.
"Luke?" Chris asks as he walks by me.
"Mom and Dad are kicking me and Hank out." I say angrily.
"Holy shit. I'm so sorry." He says. "Where are y'all gonna go? Where are y'all gonna get the money?"
"Hanks trying to see how much he has and I don't know, I know he's gonna want to go to Montana. He needs to be close to his doctors anyway, but he's gonna be amazing and leave it up to me." I tell him.
"Well just know that I support you and love you no matter what." Chris says as he hugs me.
"Thanks bro." I tell him.
"FUCK" Hank yells from my room. I walk back into my room to see what's going on. I walk in and see Hank sitting on my bed with his eyes starting to water.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I ask Hank as I sit beside him, putting my arm around him.
"I thought that I had at least four hundred thousand in my bank, but right now I only have a little over a hundred thousand." Hank tells me.
"Hank that's plenty to get us through until I find a job." I tell Hank wiping the tears from his eyes.
"Also I've only made about ten thousand in sales since the accident." Hank says wrapping his arms around me and burying his head into my shoulder.
"That's is enough money to get us through, trust me." I tell Hank. He doesn't say anything so I just let him be and rub his back a little.
"Hank, I think I've found the perfect house for us." I say to break the silence.
           "Really?" He asks.
"Its a small two bedroom, one bath house. The good thing is it's only seventy-nine thousand and it's about an hours drive from here." I tell Hank.
"Well when can we get it?" Hank asks sitting up with a smile forming on his face.
"I've already called the real estate agent about it and we are gonna go look at it tomorrow around one o'clock." I say as I stand up to check on the babies. I walk over the babies cribs and they're both sound asleep.
"Luke, I'm gonna go out for a while I have a few things to take care of." Hank tells me, as he walks up to me. I turn around and give him a kiss, after he pulls away he walks out of my room.
