You and Varian had been dating for months, and we're still yet to have your first kiss. Varian was far too shy around you to initiate that.

He still blushed every time your fingers brushed, and stuttered every time you made eye contact.

The only time he ever stopped being so nervous and blushy was when he talked about his interests.

Varian's favourite topics included the following; Alchemy, Musicals and Marvel. (Same)

If you ever felt like Varian needed to come out of his shell a bit, like when you're on a date, you could simply bring up one of those topics and he would never stop talking.

Once, he had brought up how much he loved Spider-Man, stating that "Spider-Man is my favourite Marvel hero by far. He's just so different to the others, y'know? I feel like he's one of the best Marvel characters!"

His speech was much longer, but who has time to write his entire spiel out? To put it shortly, Varian loved Spider-Man.

Thus, bringing you to your current situation.

You had asked Rapunzel for help. And she happily obliged. You had told Varian to meet you at the castle around sunset.

When he arrived at the castle, he was shocked to see you dangling upside down off the balcony.

"Y/N! What are you doing? You're gonna get hurt!"

You signaled to Raps, and she lowered you down until you were closer to Varian. He was still freaking out about you, not noticing that you were right in front of him.

You cupped his face, and gently placed your lips on his.

His tense position softened, as he gave in to the kiss. He felt a bit weird, as you were upside down, but he still thoroughly enjoyed it.

When you both pulled away, he was as red as a tomato.

"Y-Y/N? What was that for? Not that I'm complaining..."

Rapunzel made sure you were the right way round, before gently letting you go.

"You said you liked Spider-Man, so." You said, shrugging.

Varian's eyes looked like they had stars in them. "Aw, that's really cute! Can I call you Spidey?"

"No, never. But I can call you that, Spidey." You smirked, expecting Varian to turn redder. But he didn't.

"I'm cool with that. That makes me your hero."
