She always smirked at him. Always had that silvery smile with the corner of her mouth tugged to the left with her shining eyes sparkling brighter than the sun. Who was he kidding? She was his sun, his golden ray of light brightening up his sky and the rest of his darkened world. He couldn't handle it- she was absolutely perfect. Too perfect to ever notice him.
But what happens one day when his best friend forces him into signing up for some choir camp during winter break? What happens when he recognizes that glistening grin during The Scare at the campfire? What happens when the smirks were simply a disguise and she was truly just as shattered as him in life?
This would be a really interesting story I would think. Also, what would The Scare be? If I were to write it, it would be some kind of scary story ceremony thing I guess. But I'm not writing it...you are. Also whatever is going on with Kirstie with her true sobs and Avi with his shattered self could be perhaps a disorder like depression or something or it could be mental or physical abuse within the family...something that no one would really know about, something hidden in their personal background. So maybe something from The Scare triggered it.
Also, Kirstie and Avi go to the same high school in this. And Avi could be in choir at high school if you want him to be, but Kirstie is definitely like the star student in this. Like your straight A's, star singer, student council president, homecoming queen, and valedictorian kinda girl XD.
