Elizabeth's PoV
Debbie and I left the small café, she told me to leave my car in the village and she'd drive me to the police station, I was beyond nervous. We got into her car and the journey to the police station.
"Are you sure this is the right thing to do" I asked timidly sitting in Debbie's car as we drove down the country lanes. I ran my left hand through my hair anxiously.
"Have you seen what he's done to you. You've got bruises galore, who knows what else you've had over the years. How come your teachers never picked up on anything?" Debbie asked as we pulled up in front of the police station. I climbed out of my sisters car and looked up at the police station.
"This is it" I whispered as Debbie grabbed my hand comforting me. As we walked inside the station.
"Can I help you?" The desk Sargent asked as Debbie stood by my side, my hand shook against my sisters hand.
"I'd like to report, report an assault" I bit my lip with nerves crippling me.
"Okay, can I have your name?" The Sargent asked and I nodded.
"Elizabeth Bails" I said as I watched the Sargent look shocked when she heard my last name, it's to be expected; Dad works in the station but it's his day off today so he couldn't find out I'm here.
"Alright thank you, take a seat over Their and a Officer will be right with you" the desk Sargent nodded and I went I sit with Debbie.
"It's going to be alright Beth' I'm here till the end. I wasn't Their for the first 21 years of your life but I will be from now on. I promise" Debbie rubbed my hand with her thumb
"You really don't have to do that" I announced to my sister who rolled her eyes at me.
"Elizabeth your my sister; sisters stick by eachother" Debbie smiled and I nodded as a police woman stopped in front of me.
"Elizabeth, if you'd like to follow me" she nodded and I let go of my sisters hand
"Can Debbie come with me?" I asked feeling extremely anxious as I stood in front of the officer.
"I'm afraid not." The Officer apologises and I nodded. I turned to Debbie who stood up and wrapped her arms around me.
"I'll be right here Beth' promise" Debbie nodded as she rubbed my back. I pulled away and followed the officer into w interview room.
"So you'd like to report an assault?" The officer asked and I nodded nervously.
"Could you tell me it all from the beginning please" The Officer asked and I nodded once again.
"It all started when I was younger my dad would take his anger out on me, bruises galore. I never fought back, I was only a child. It continued to go on and last night he did it again, my sister convinced me that I should stop him from hurting me again. I didn't know if I should report it or now. He'll probably find a way to get himself off" I grumbled as I explained it all to the woman Officer.
"What is your fathers name and I'll need to take photos off the bruises for evidence so if possible could you remove your make up please." The Officer asked and I nodded
"Mark Bails; Detective Inspectore in this station and that'll be fine; I'll have to use the bathroom to remove it" I nodded to the woman who wrote down my dads name. I had done it but Their was still so much to do, who'll know if he gets sent down but it was worth the short.
