I'm gonna stop summing up the prompts so that it's more of a surprise

Prompt from @rude-dude

Logan's POV

I've never really... felt much before. I've always been more of a thinker, too logical for feelings such as... love, and... adoration.

The other forest spirits think I'm a robot. They can't understand how I work, how the gears turn... Maybe I am a robot. I definitely act like one....

Even though I don't have many feelings, I do get lonely. I wish there was someone who understood that I'm not a mere machine.

Virgil's POV

No one really likes me. They tolerate me, but they don't like me. All the cloud spirits say it, if not to my face. I know what they think of me.
Well, everyone except Patton. He likes me. But then again, he likes everyone. I just wish I had some friends.
The others are constantly calling me names. Most of them revolve around how gloomy I am. But does it ever occur to them that maybe I would be less gloomy if they'd just accept me? Hell no. That would be ridiculous. So instead I'm ridiculed, bombarded with taunts. Yep, my life is great.

Logan's POV

Sometimes, when being around the others is just too much, I like to walk around the mountain. Now, it's early morning and the smell of dew fills the air. I drift around the forest for a while, mulling over everything. Maybe if I smile more. Or laugh a few times. I'd do anything to make them accept me.

Virgil's POV

I can't always visit the mountain. However, sometimes when there's mist in the air, I can touch the surface. I like to go down there whenever I can. It helps to clear my head and calm me down.
However, today something strange happens. As I wander around, I see a forest spirit. He doesn't seem as happy or carefree as the others, though. In fact, he seems kind of... Sad.
I want to keep watching him, but the sun is getting higher, and the air is becoming dry. Just as I begin to drift upwards, the spirit turns around and spots me. For just a second, I can see his eyes widen before I am forced back into the sky.
I think about him all day. Those eyes held a kind of intelligence, but there was also an element of loneliness. I want to know more about him, and I decide to try to find him again the next day.

Logan's POV

I don't know quite what to make of the cloud spirit. He seemed quite mysterious. It made me want to know him, to find out how he works.
The next morning, I take another walk, and I find that he'd had the same idea.
Upon spotting me, he shouts. "Hey!"
"Um..." I'm not quite sure what to do, so I just stand there as he runs towards me.
"I saw you yesterday," he says.
"Er, yes. I saw you as well."
He bites his lip. "Sorry, I didn't really plan this out... I honestly have no clue what to say."
"What's your name?" I ask.
"I'm Virgil." So that's his name. Strangely, it fits him quite well.
"I'm Logan," I inform him.
He nods, and stands there awkwardly.
After a brief silence, Virgil blurts out, "okay, look I don't want to sound creepy or anything but when I saw you yesterday I just really wanted to get to know you but now I feel really awakward and I just don't know what to say so I'm sorry if you want me to leave-"
I smile. "I'm so glad to hear that."
Virgil starts. "You- what?"
"I, too, would like to know you better."
His eyes widen as he understands. "Oh- oh! Well, thank God," he laughs.
"Tell me about yourself, Virgil."

Virgil's POV

We talked for as long as we could. I was disappointed when I had to leave, but I promised to come back the next day.
Now that I've spoken to him, it's even harder to get Logan off my mind. Luckily, no one noticed. I wouldn't really expect them to. I grow more and more restless as the day goes on, and find myself unable to sleep. The mere thought that I have a friend filled me with joy. Someone actually cares about me.
He's all I've ever hoped for.

Logan's POV

As I got to know Virgil more and more, I grew more fond of him. He's the first person I've ever really liked, and I'm glad he's my friend.
However, the fondness seems to have started growing into something more. I'm not quite sure what it is, and I don't know if I like it or not.
As I mull it over, suddenly it hits me.
Love.
I've never felt love towards anyone before. Maybe I'm not a robot after all.

Virgil's POV

I smile when I see Logan.
"Hi!" I shout.
Logan gives me a half smile, but he seems rather tense.
I frown. "What's wrong?"
"Er..."
"Logan, you can tell me anything."
"Well, uh... This is kind of a sensitive topic, and I don't want to ruin our friendship."
I stay silent, not knowing whether or not I want to hear whatever he has to say.
"I... I think I love you, Virgil."
That's when I break into the biggest grin I can muster. Leaning forward, I gently place my lips on his. It was amazing.
I love him. He loves me. We can't always be together, but our time comes every day.
When the mist meets the mountain.

Geez, this was 921 words. That's almost twice as long as my longest one. Thanks for the prompt!
Is this how cloud/forest spirits even work? I probably should've done some research before starting this but oh well.
