I know
I write way too much prinxiety
But this is sUCH A CUTE IDEA AND I JUST HAD TO ASOFKSNVKDK

Roman wasn't as strong as the others thought. He knew that. But there was no way he would tell them so. He had to keep some dignity, after all.
Roman was also hella touch starved.
No way he would tell them that, either.
So when Roman was sad, there was one thing he would do...

...

I crept slowly through Virgil's room, trying not to trip in the dark. I could hear his slow breaths.
Suddenly, I kicked a stray book on the floor, producing a small thud. Virgil stirred in his bed, and I froze.
Don't wake up. Don't wake up. Please, god, don't wake up.
Finally,  he settled back down.
Thank god.
After taking a shaky breath, I continued on my quest. Slowly, I traveled towards the far wall and finally reached it. I placed my hands on it, feeling around until I hit the hook attacked to it. And hanging on the hook, Virgil's hoodie.
Smiling in spite of the tears on my face, I grabbed it and made my way back out of the room.
Once I got to my room, I flopped onto my bed and wrapped myself up in the hoodie. It was so warm, and safe, and it smelled like Virgil. Immediately, all my problems disappeared, and I was all right. I wanted to stay there forever.
And I did.
At least until morning.

...

"WHERE'S MY HOODIE!?"
I woke with a start at the sound of Virgil's holler.
Shoot. Shoot shoot shoot.
I had fallen asleep in Virgil's jacket. And now he was looking for it.
"I don't have it, kiddo!"
"Nor do I."
Crap.
Virgil slammed my door open. It was odd, seeing him in just his t shirt.
"ROMAN!"
His gaze landed on me... In his hoodie.
A fire was growing in his eyes. I'd taken his most treasured possession. He looked like he was ready to punch me... Until he saw my bloodshot eyes, and the streaks in my foundation (yes, I wear foundation) caused by my tears.
"Roman... Are you okay?"
I started. "Of course I am! I have no reason not to be! I'm feeling spectacular!"
Virgil simply raised an eyebrow.
And waited.
And waited.
"....fine." I sighed.
"No, I wasn't okay. I am now though. I took your hoodie because I was upset, and it comforts me."
Virgil contemplated what I'd said, and then something flashed across his face.
"Stay here. I'll be back in a few minutes."
Though I was thoroughly confused, I nodded. I began taking off the hoodie to return it, but Virgil stopped me.
"No. Right now, keep it."
Again, I just nodded. Virgil left my room.
What could he possibly be doing?

...

A little while later, Virgil returned, his hands held behind his back.
"All right, I've got something for you."
He revealed what he had been hiding, and I gasped.
It was a hoodie. Completely red, with a big golden crown on the chest.
"Virgil... I love it! Thank you so much."
"Hey, anytime. Now, I'm starving, so I'm gonna go eat."
After he left, I smiled and hugged the hoodie to my chest. I may have lost some of my dignity, but this was worth it.

...

A few days later, I once again found the stress to be too much.
I wrapped myself up in my new hoodie, but something seemed.... Off. It didn't feel like it did when I enveloped myself in Virgil's hoodie.
Finally, it hit me.
I got out of bed and crept to his room.
Unfortunately, I'm no master of stealth.
As I attempted to slink through his room, I knocked over a sizable pile of stuff.
This time, Virgil didn't stay asleep.
"Wha... Who's in here?"
He sat up, turned on his lamp, and saw me, frozen, one hand on his hoodie.
"Roman? Why... Why? Did you lose yours?"
"Um... Not exactly."
I blushed, cupping my neck with my hand.
"Then... What are you doing?"
I bit my lip.
"Roman."
I sighed in defeat. "I... I just need your hoodie."
Virgil was incredulous. "Why?"
"Because..." I could barely get the words out. "Because it smells like you."
Virgil's expression cleared of its confusion. He sighed and gestured for me to get in bed with him.
I gaped at him. "Are you... What?"
He rolled his eyes. "Come on, moron. Get in."
I was very hesitant. What kind of prince has to sleep with someone else? But... Otherwise I likely wouldn't sleep at all.
I bit my lip... And climbed into the bed. Virgil turned off the lamp and wrapped his arms around me, encasing me in warmth. I immediately felt safe. Nothing could hurt me here.
Nothing could hurt me.
