Why do I write so much angst XD
Also I'm gonna say that the 'Deceit always lies' thing is just a gimmick for the videos.

Prompt from

(After the Can Lying Be Good video)

I don't really know what to make of Deceit.

He seems like the slippery snake everyone thinks he is, but something makes me think that he might not be that way. I can't tell what it is; maybe I'm just going nuts. But maybe...

Deceit didn't hang out with us, but every once in a while he would appear in the kitchen, grabbing some food. One day, I finally decided to talk to him.
"Hey, how's your day going?"
Deceit's brow furrowed, as if he was confused as to why I was speaking to him.
"No worse than usual."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean I'm locked up in my room all day because I'm completely shunned by everyone else, so, considering the circumstances, I'm doing all right."

"Oh," I was slightly taken aback. He seemed almost sad. "Um... I'm sorry."
Deceit shrugged. "I'm used to it."

.....

After that, we started talking quite often. We actually became fairly close friends, and I grew to be very fond of him.

All Deceit wanted was to be accepted, to be a part of things. However, even though I was his friend, everyone else hated him. I tried mentioning him a few times, but I always got a negative reaction. So all I could do was be there for him.

.....

I woke up excited for a new day. Today I was going to be a part of Thomas's video. Not posing as Patton; I was gonna be me.

A few minutes after the video started, I popped up and tried to be a part of things. However, Thomas had other ideas...

"AHH! DECEIT!"

Of course.

"GET OUT!"

No one wanted me there, why would they?

"LEAVE ME ALONE, YOU SLIPPERY SNAKE!"

I sank back out, incredibly upset. However, I couldn't show my true feelings until I was in my room, so instead I flipped him off.

As I strutted back to my room, I could hear Thomas yelling.

"HE'S A SLIMY BOY, LOGAN!"

I finally reached my room. It was incredibly secluded. Now that Virgil was closer to the others' rooms, I was pretty much left alone.

"ARGH!" I slammed my fist against the wall.

All I want is to be accepted. I just want to be a part of things. Why does everyone hate me? It's not my fault I stand for lies...

I slid down to a sitting position and continued banging on the wall in frustration.

I'm part of Thomas, just like the others. I'm not totally evil.

A little while later, I had calmed down a bit, but I was still upset. I jumped when I heard a knock on my door.
"Deceit?"
It was Roman.
I froze, not knowing what to say.
"Can I come in?"
"Um..." I hesitated. "Okay."
Roman slowly opened my door.
"Are you all right?"
I stiffened. "Why are you asking?"
"Thomas shoved you out pretty harshly earlier..."
I bit my lip.
Roman simply stared at me, waiting for a response.
"...I just wish they would accept me, that's all."
"I get that."
"You do?"
"Well, not really. But I wish they'd stop throwing you out."
I nodded.
After a short but awkward silence, Roman asked, "is there anything I could do to help?"
"Oh, I don't know..."
"Do you want me to talk to them?"
"...You would do that?"
"Of course I would! You're not as despicable as they think."
Hearing this, I nearly started crying. I couldn't believe he actually cared enough to do that.
"Thank... Thank you, Ro."
Roman smiled at me and stood up to exit the room, beckoning for me to follow.
......
"Hey, Roman!" Thomas exclaimed. His demeanor changed as soon as I popped up.
"AHHH! WHY IS HE HERE?"
Roman scowled at him. I could tell he was already getting annoyed.
"Thomas! This is exactly why he's here!"
Thomas furrowed his brow. "What?"
"You need to stop shoving Deceit out so much. He's not as bad as you think."
I awkwardly fidgeted with my gloves while Thomas looked at me.
"But... But, he pretended to be Patton, and he tried to make me lie to Joan!"
"He can't help that, Thomas, not any more than Virgil can help the fact that he's always going to stress over little things. He does represent deceit, after all."

"Ehh...." Thomas still wasn't quite convinced.

"Thomas, do you not try to include everyone? Isn't that why you included non-binary pals in your outro?"

"Well, yeah, but-"

"Then you should include Deceit as well. All he wants is to take part in a video. Can't we just accept him?"

"I'm really not evil," I interjected. "I just can't help my lying sometimes."

Thomas bit his lip.

"You really want to be part of the group?"

I nodded.

"Well... I guess there's no harm in letting you be in one video, just to try it."

I was shocked. "You... You're really going to let me participate?"

He looked hesitant, but his answer filled me with joy.

"Yes."

.....

"Roman, thank you so much."

"Anything for you, Dee."

I smiled at him. "You're my best friend Ro, you know that, right?"

Roman grinned. "Well of course, who wouldn't like me best?"

Geez, this took me wayyy too long to finish. Hope you enjoyed!
