Confession at the Hospital

After a few hours, Garrett could have sworn he was lying on a hospital bed with blankets covering him. And people holding his hand. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He saw that Fluttershy was holding his right hand, and Sunset was holding his left hand. Also in the room was Raph who was holding Starlight, Leo who was holding Blake, Donnie, Mikey, Casey, April, Twilight, and little Sunny. "He's up!" said Raph. He and everyone else were overjoyed. "Oh thank heavens!" Fluttershy said as she hugged him tightly. "How long have I been out?" Garrett asked, adjusting to the light. "You were out for two days," explained Donnie, "you were exposed to an excessive amount of tampered nitrogen gas. You're lucky to be alive. Or even able to see for that matter."

"How did I get here?" asked Garrett, finding his glasses. "Utrom found you at TCRI, he got you here," said Leo. "I told your boss what happened, you can take a few days off," assured Sunset, then she punched him in the arm and said, "don't you scare me like that again!" Garrett rubbed his arm and said, "Ow! Come on Sunset, I've been flogged enough..."

"Mommy, what does flogging mean?" asked little Sunny. "We'll tell you when you're older sweetie," said Twilight, who felt awkward. "Who hurt ya Garrett? I'll clobber 'em myself!" said Raphael. Starlight giggled and tried repeating what Raphael said, only it was baby gibberish. Sunset chuckled and said, "Keep talking like that, and our little girl's first word might be something tough and aggressive." 

"All jokes aside," said Leo, "we just want to know who did this to you Garrett. You can tell us." Garrett sighed and said, "Well, apparently there's a hate group that's against the Jacob Kurtzberg Act. It consisted of Adagio Dazzle, Blueblood, Flash Sentry, and Timber Spruce." Sunset and Twilight groaned in annoyance. "You mean the meanie who interrupted Mommy and Daddy's wedding?" asked Sunny. "Unfortunately yes. And it's as Yondu said in Guardians of the Galaxy 2," said Garrett, then did his best impression of Yondu, "he may have been your father, but he wasn't yo daddy." Sunny giggled. Sunset, on the other hand, was upset. She couldn't believe her ex boyfriend attacked her little brother and tried to kill him. Garrett looked at Sunset and Fluttershy and asked, "Should I tell them?"  Fluttershy and Sunset looked at each other, then both nodded. Sunset and Fluttershy stood up, and she gently took Starlight. Twilight gave Blake to Fluttershy. "Come on Sunny, let's go outside," said Sunset, "the grownups need to talk." She and Fluttershy took the kids out of the room.

Garrett sighed and asked, "Donnie, you know that one girl Rarity you're dating?" Donnie nodded and asked, "Yeah... what about her?" Garrett rubbed his head, trying to remember everything. "Well, Sunset, Fluttershy, and I went to high school with her," explained Garrett, "you see, I remember first meeting her when I was a freshman. At the time, she was dating Blueblood. Back then, he was the star football player. But I just didn't like him. I thought he was a snob. Some of Rarity's friends thought so too. My gut was telling me there was something bad about him. I even told Sunset I didn't like Blueblood due to my gut feeling. I thought maybe I was just being paranoid, but... one day, Rarity was late for school. During lunchtime, I bumped into her and... she had the worst type of black eye that I'd ever seen. She was in tons of pain. I told Sunset and took Rarity to the nurse's office. It was a lot worse. She had this ugly bruise on her chest and back. She even had bruises on her fingers. It seems Blueblood was physically abusing her during their relationship. I asked her if he did it, and she said yes. She was so terrified of what he could do to her, she hadn't told anyone. And I guess something inside me snapped. Maybe it was Blueblood's cruelty towards Rarity. Maybe it was because I felt so helpless. But I went berserk. I hunted Blueblood down, and I beat the snot out of him. I beat him badly, and said all sorts of colorful words. I was in a rage where all I saw was red, and I don't recall what I said, but according to my sister, the cleanest I said was that he was a pathetic excuse for a man for hurting Rarity like that. The rest of what I said could peel off the stickers of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and rival Deadpool's colorful dictionary. I made Blueblood fess up to what he did, and I took responsibility for my actions, taking two week's suspension. Two things happened that day. Blueblood was kicked off the football team, and his relationship with Rarity ended. He never touched her ever again. That was the only time I ever went berserk. Could I have handled it better? Maybe, but Blueblood had it coming in my opinion. I swore to Rarity, Sunset, and our friends that we would never speak of it. You guys are the first people I've told." 

"So did Blueblood and his cronies kidnap you just to get back at you?" asked April. "Yep," admitted Garrett, "and to get back at me, Blueblood's friend Flash Sentry dated Sunset. I didn't get between them because I wanted my sister to be happy because I love her. My mistake. Seems he was using her to do his homework for him. I got back by letting Vice Principal Luna know what he did. He got kicked off the football team for that. You guys must think I'm a bad person, don't you...?" 

"No," said Leo, "you proved that you're a guy who only wanted to defend the people he cared about." 

"I'm mainly telling you guys this because, you're my friends," said Garrett. "We feel the same way about you too dude," said Mikey. "Two things," said Raph, "one, I think I'll break Flash's arm. I doubt Sunset will mind." Garrett smirked and said, "Be my guest." 

"Two," continued Raph, "as soon as you get out of the hospital, I'm buying you a drink."
