Conversations of the void space. What I heard. Research voice. Using black pen for male.

Voices:

Let's try something different. If she survives your little...trial, then you have to help her reach whatever destination she wishes to, safely.

And if she doesn't survive, I'll be sure to bring her head to you.

Ugh, you and your heads. Why not shards? Why eat those instead of wearing them like necklaces?

They have no use. For their decorations, anyway. It's better to destroy them, magic and physical being.

Fine then...but at least leave me her Guardian's gem. I have never seen such shades of blue before, and it will look gorgeous on me. Don't you think?

Voices disappeared after this. Should consult Librarian. Should consult ghost. Broken twigs are a sound, too.

===THIRD POV===

Kasey opened her eyes, but she still saw darkness. Her eyes adjusted, and she still saw darkness.

Then she realized that it was night.

Startled, she sat up, and rubbed her eyes quickly. She groaned, feeling itchiness over her bare arms, and a stinging pain along her leg and...well, everywhere in general. Wherever the string touched, it left a sting. And it isn't so bad now, but it is still bad.

Something stirred behind her, and she turned around.

She saw the dark shape, but she was unsure of what it was, until she spotted the glowing outside-teeth. She let out a quiet sigh of relief, and tried to stand up.

When she stood, darkness passed her vision, but she didn't fall over from the lightheadedness. Instead, she took a step forward, towards the trail.

She then heard a quiet chitter. "Bonded one..."

Turning, she saw a pair of eyes from where Chaos was curled up at. He hadn't moved from his spot, and his eyes are a bright glowing white, but still, Kasey was cautious and hoped he stayed in that spot.

Stuttering out of fear, she told him, "I ha-ha-hav-have to g-go."

Chaos gave a low hiss, and shook his head, but said, "I'm sorry Bonded One...I am sorry..."

Kasey would say "I know you are" but she bit her tongue, and turned. Instead, she muttered, "Goodnight, Chaos," And walked back onto the trail to head back home.

===========================================

After returning home, she had realized that her parents were out looking for her. Her parents sent her to her room after yelling at her for a bit, but she felt numb to all the yelling. Even she was surprised at not breaking down in front of them, being the emotional wreck she already was.

Instead, she thought about Chaos. Constantly.

She felt hunger, but she didn't go down to eat as she wasn't feeling excited enough. Instead, while watching the ceiling fan spin slowly, she imagined herself running.

Running in a forest, more interesting creatures with white eyes and teeth, running alongside her. They ran into an opening-a desert, and a pair of birds darted past, gliding in front of them. But then she realized that the birds looked more dragon-like than they were bird-like.

Then, closing her eyes, she imagined it more vividly.

The pack of shadows following her as an Alpha. They were on their way to a new, promised home in a place full of sand. They had traveled for miles, but now, being so close and it being a full moon, they were renewed with energy.

The Shadow Fliers darted ahead, singing in their shrill voices, and more shadows joined in on the call. Even Kasey laughed, howling along with them as they made their way across the vast desert.

Opening her eyes, she looked to her clock. It had been an hour or so. She sighed, and closed her eyes once more, but no dreams came.

============================

However, the shadow was having a less peaceful time.

In rage, he decided to hunt dangerous game. The large hard-backs of the waters, with teeth to outnumber his own. However, despite them being reptilian foe, he bested them from one pure thing running through him.

Strength.

New, amazing strength that continuously surged through him, and offered the chance to hunt more game. Even bigger game that tastes better. Digging in, he wondered if Bonded One would like these things. He hoped they do. It tastes delicious.

After filling himself up, he gave a long sigh and chitter. Finding a nice spot in the clearing, he curled himself up. He doesn't feel like getting water.

Closing his eyes, he started to Travel.

Sometimes, Chaos likes Traveling. It takes him to new places, making him able to see things that may not usually be seen.

Feeling himself in a different place, he opened his eyes.

In front of him was an interesting...pathway. Trees were around this spot, but not too close to the things on the ground. He glanced towards it. For some reason, it looks like two lines spaced apart evenly, with a lot more lines in the middle.

He heard a faint echoing noise in the background.

Looking to his left, and waiting, he saw a massive thing, with bright lights and a loud honk. The sounds it makes as it travels on the lines make it go: Chuh-chuh, chuh-chuh, chuh-chuh really really quickly.

As it passed by him, the grass blades swayed in the direction it was going. A blaring horn sounded as the long body of the contraption sped past.

Chaos looked to where it was headed.

He spotted something odd.

In the air, a spot shimmered and wavered, like a ripple in water. The train passed through it normally, but...something drew him closer.

His eyes widened when he realized what it was.

His body lurched forward once more as he Traveled to a different spot. Glancing toward the lights, Chaos found himself staring in a hallway of some sort. It had little signs on the outside of each door, which was made of wood. Two adult humans, both female, talking about children that they teach in this place.

Another lurch.

And this time, a familiar sight.

He was in some sort of oasis. It was night, the stars shining and twinkling in the clear sky. The breeze was calm, and the rest of the world remained sandy.

Near the water's edge, a proud statue of a woman, adorned in robes, holding a weaved basket to the water. Within the basket, Chaos noticed, were a few twigs here and there. And plenty of soft materials.

One final lurch, and he remained within his blissful sleep.
