===Third POV===

In a split second, Kasey’s thoughts went wild as she witnessed the pole falling down towards her.

I shouldn’t have left the house; it is going to kill me; where is my house; I am stuck, I can’t move; I should calm down; can’t calm down at all; I am going to die; I’m going to die; I’m going to die; just stay still and watch it fall.

Panic stricken, she lied there as it reached her. But she felt something cold and swift surround her, and suddenly, she is in the air. For a moment, she couldn’t see anything at all. Am I dead? She thought to herself, but she felt her back smack into the ground, and the thunder roared in her ears.

Back to panic, she assessed that she doesn’t have her flashlight anymore. Then, the screeching continued.

She looks around, and spots that the flashlight is facing the creature, and is almost getting crushed under the weight of the pole. Why is it so determined to keep the pole up? She wondered. Pausing, she looked towards the crackling. It is above a long stream of water. It goes into some houses. The creature is the only thing keeping everyone from being electrocuted.

Suddenly, new thoughts rise from Kasey’s head, I am going to have to help. I can’t let them do it alone. Moving along, with her left knee giving into her weight occasionally, she reached the creature. Why her leg is giving out, she doesn’t know. Maybe it is dislocated. She can’t feel the pain. She wonders if she is in shock.

She stood next to the creature, and felt its hot breath on her face as she turned to it. It growls very loudly, but she lifted her hands and attempted to push the pole a bit higher than it is.

“I-I’m going to need your help,” She started, unsure where her sudden courage came from, and who is speaking through her, “We are going to move it slowly, into the park. It will break some things, and it will separate from the generator. It will not...it will not shock anyone.” She says confidently.

For some reason, she knew that it understood what she said, as from the light, she can see it slightly shift to bare more weight of the pole.

Facing towards the park, her arms shaking, she yells over the thunder, “This way, we push when I say ‘now’, got it?”

The creature screeched to her, and she understood that as a yes.

She turned her head slightly to see the crackling electricity. When it releases a spark, she will say it. And luckily enough, she spotted one before it disappeared.

“Now!!” They both use their strength and haul it, watching it topple down the hill and landing on something metal, the entire park had sparks arcing from each metal pipe.

Kasey panted and smiled at the creature, but frowned as the silhouette fell down onto it’s back, and slowly sliding down the hill. Something was wrapped around the foot, and it is slowly being dragged into the large electrified pool. Kasey ran after them and pulled on their arm, and she felt three hands grabbing her arms.

Slowly, she dragged the body away from the puddle, and watched as the lightning stuck where they were standing before. The sound was deafening, and Kasey fell back. Her panic thoughts came back, and the ringing in her ears intensified for a moment, before she barely heard the creature screeching at her.

Then she felt something grab her and start dragging her. Struggling and thinking that someone is attempting to hurt someone, she hit their arms. It strengthened their grip and continued dragging her accross the field to get away from the park. Then, Kasey’s vision managed to clear, and she spots her flashlight. She grabs it and shined it around the surrounding, feeling her heart sink to her stomach as she surveyed the damage.

Dirt overturned, electrcity cables sprawled everywhere, flooded grounds.

She looks up to see two glowing things. She then realized those are the creature’s eyes. She hit the creature.

“I am so sorry,” She managed to whisper. It is now just heavy rain.

The creature chittered, and she felt its hot breath sniff her face. She isn’t sure if she smells good, or if this is what it does…

She felt something hot and very painful on her leg, and she shined the flashlight at her leg. It has a large gash on the knee. She decided that that this is needing attention.

She looked up at the creature, and felt something in her chest. It was a tingling sensation, as well as her knee, so she didn’t know what it was.

However, the creature is feeling the same feeling, as they stare into her eyes. They can see perfectly fine without the flashlight. It only hurts their eyes when it was shined into their eyes.

One thought ran through its mind, it is a long time until dawn. They will protect this human, who has saved them. So much fear going through them. They go into their long thinking when so scared. They have something in common.

And they both saved each other when that happened.

Maybe they are even, but why would they want to leave so early?

They still have until the storm is over, and the world spins for another day.
