Ball and Birthday

We rushed home and Dick told me to get changed into something formal. I got changed into a black dress that reached mid-thigh and the black material stopped at my chest and then it faded into lace arms. I put on some skin colour tights and black wedges. I then put my hair into a half up half down style.

"Taco!" I called and she followed me down stairs.

"Happy Birthday." Damian said while handing me a present. It was a voucher to meet anyone I want.

"It could be royalty or famous, anyone really, it's your choice." He said and we hugged.

"Happy Birthday." Tim said handing me another present. It was a brand new computer.

"I can teach you coding and hacking and it can help with school." He said and we hugged.

"Happy Birthday doll." Jason said as he handed me a present. It was a T-Shirt with flames down it that had the words 'I'm on fire' in the middle. I hugged him.

"Happy Birthday Marbs." Dick said as he handed me a present. It had a beautiful ruby on a silver headpiece and he clipped it into my hair. I hugged him.

"Happy Birthday Miss Marble." Alfred said as he handed me a pink domino mask that matched my costume. I hugged him.

"Happy Birthday Marble." Bruce said as he handed me a pink utility belt. He then got a box and it had a necklace in it with an emerald and a tag that read my name.

"Thank you!" I said as I hugged him.

"I'm sorry." He said stroking my hair.

"No, I over reacted." I said and we just hugged.

"Well hasn't today been Aster." Dick said. The doorbell rang.

"Right on time." Bruce said.

"Marble." Pheobe called. I ran to her and hugged her.

"Hey Baby." Carly said holding a large present. I hugged her back.

"Here you are." Pheobe said as we sat down and I opened it. Inside there was baby clothes and an album of photos.

"David burned the rest." Carly said and I was in tears.

"Miss Marble, what would you like for lunch?" Alfred asked.

"Can we have sausages and mash?" I asked.

"Of course." Alfred said.

"Listen Marble. I'm so sorry I have missed all these birthdays. I missed you so much." Carly said.

"Are you two coming to the ball tonight?" I asked hopeful.

"Yes they are, after lunch I am sending them both to the mall to get dresses. When they come back I have a team to do everyone's makeup and hair." Bruce said.

"Thanks Bruce, can I talk to you in private quickly?" I asked. He lead me to the kitchen.

"Should I tell them that I'm training to be a vigilante?" I asked.

"Superhero." He said so I made a face.

"Well you have powers so it's superhero. No don't tell them I can tell what your mum will say." He said.

"What will she say?" I asked.

"I've lost you once, I won't lose you again." He said and I nodded. We went back into the living room.

*Time skip*

"Pheobe, Carly. You two ready to get your dresses?" Bruce asked.

"Yeah." They said and I waved them off as Alfred drove them to the dress shop.
