II knocked just once, and the door welcomed us in. Destiny saw what happened, and she had a smirk on her face that was just waiting to be released into full laughter.

She called us in and told us to follow her to her room.

"Anthony" she started.

"Yes?", he replied.

"What's wrong?" she asked with that smirk still holding on to her face.

"You saw it, didn't you?" she followed.

"Saw what?" he asked.

"Your light", she swiftly answered.

"What do you mean by 'my light'?" he inquired.

Suddenly, it got all quiet, and I saw the picture that Destiny had developing on her bed. It was a picture of Anthony and a flake of snow. The light lit up like a halo around his head, and it also lit up the flakes of snow falling around him.

We sat there in silence, as Anthony was trying to figure out what he was looking at and piece together what was happening in that moment. Destiny couldn't bear it any longer, and she blurted it out.

"It's your purpose: the light," she calmly stated and then suddenly she burst into nervous laughter.

She realized she wasn't alone anymore. There were for sure others who saw what she saw. She reached over to hug Anthony and then stopped "can I hug you?" she asked.

He leaned forward and cried, as he realized what she had said. It all started to sink in. His gift, us, and why we were here.

"Can I keep the picture?" he asked.

"No." she stated, as she pulled it out of her hands and put it up to her ceiling next to a picture she took moments before of us walking toward her house.

Then, she brought out the box under the bed. As she opened it, a bright light took over the room, and then, there was darkness. It had been 3 years, and this was the moment that I had been waiting for.

We sat there together wondering why this had all been revealed to us, and as Anthony and I looked over at Destiny, she sat there smiling at us as if she had just seen us open gifts she was waiting all year to give us. Every single thing we wrote down, we got on that day. No one ever gets the presents they ask for, but we were feeling as if in this moment, not one gift was missed or substituted.

I wouldn't change this moment.

I wondered why Destiny, a 14-year-old girl like me, had the key to the secret of the universe for so long.

"How?" I felt the word fall out of my mouth.

"How can you see the lights, and why are Anthony and I just seeing them now?" I asked.

Destiny didn't say a word, but instead, she waited for Anthony to look at me, and * flash *.

I woke up, and it seemed like everything was back to normal. It seemed like everything that had happened the other day with Anthony and Destiny and I was just a dream.

I reached over to my phone that kept ringing, but I didn't answer it quick enough. Then I heard the dings as a series of messages were coming in as back-to-back messages.

I replied with "Who is this?"

"Anthony" the next message read.

When did I even give this kid my number, and why was he sending me so many messages? He asked if he could come over, and he was explaining so many things that didn't make sense, but I just called him and told him to come over. I waited for him outside.
