Anthony:
Marvel was a word to describe the way that Anthony described the world. He viewed life as a constant lesson that uncovered secret codes to him that he had been searching for his entire life. He didn't go through life ungrateful of what was around him in his life experience; he appreciated every little detail that made up the surroundings he was weaved into. Anthony loved nature because even in its inconsistencies, it was still predictable. He wanted to learn everything there was to learn about nature itself, but he wanted to study patterns, and through this desire, he discovered his love for the weather. It was there, always. Nothing in Anthony's life was as consistent as the patterns that revealed the weather: not his parents, not his house, not the choices he made for himself for when he grew up. Anthony wanted to know more, but more about what? Anything was good enough for Anthony because nature, and his curiosity in its workings, kept Anthony preoccupied with something other than the broken home that he was forced to hold together. Divorce made him feel as though he and his brother were thin pieces of thread holding a tattered blanket together. It keeps you warm, but it never serves its purpose in the way that it was intended to, or does it?. He was meant to just be a kid, but divorce forced him to grow up and to make decisions like who he would live with. He always wondered to himself why life had to be this way, and no matter what he did, he'd never allow himself to be truly happy because he was broken and broken things can never be made whole again or happy again, or so he thought.
