Chapter 22

<THIRD PERSON>

Every EXO members have their own personal hectic schedules. They barely had enough time to sleep or even blink an eye. They had a concert upcoming and another album to be released. They barely see each other even though they live in the same house. That's how busy they were, or perhaps the word itself is an understatement. Being an idol is no joke, not to mention the pressure and stress they're going through beside of the frantic schedules they have. Chan Yeol heaved a sigh. The call with Ace ended just now and it was quite disappointing though he got no choice.

"So is she coming?" Su Ho asked in anticipation but it immediately fades when he saw Chan Yeol's face. "It's a no then?" sadness was visible on his voice. Chan Yeol shook his head. "She seemed unwell. Her voice sound strange on the phone." Su Ho became worried. True that they just recently met and knew the girl but they've grown fond of her. Besides that she's is their fan, there is something about her that the members wanted to take care of her and be friends with her personally or so. "Is she sick?" Su Ho asked. "I guess she is." Chan Yeol mumbled and looked at his phone. He spaced out thinking if Ace will be okay. "Su Ho hyung, is Ace coming?" Baek Hyun asked in enthusiasm. The members started to gather around. It's the first time in a month that they had time to be together that's why they plan to have some dinner outside and well of course with Ace supposed to be. The members became anxious when they saw their leader's face. "No she's not coming." their shoulder's slumped. Their smiles and asked the reason why Ace couldn't come. They love to spend their time with her and they're quite expecting her to come. "Chan Yeol said she doesn't sound good on the phone. She must be--"

"Is she sick?" Se Hun cuts him. Chan Yeol turn to him. "She must have a tiresome day let's just let her rest." Su Ho's forehead creased at the sudden mood change of Chan Yeol. It seems like he doesn't want to Se Hun being worried at Ace. Chan Yeol and Se Hun exchanged stares that only the two of them understands. The members were perturbed at the capricious atmosphere that is going on.  Xiu Min cleared his throat and that's when the gazes falters. "It's a pity. We'll let her rest being a student is also a tiring job." They all agreed. "I hope she's okay, though." Chen muttered. The group proceeded on their original agenda and that is too eat outside. As the usual their manager is with them. They ate on the same restaurant that they've eaten the first time with Ace before.

Everyone was having fun but a part of them still kept thinking about Ace, wishing she was here. They were pretty restless. Not as restless as Chan Yeol who kept on glancing his phone as if by any minute Ace will popped out of there. He wants to check if Ace was okay. He knows for a fact that Ace is sick and he wants to make sure if she's already fine or what, or does she needs a medicine or food. Is someone there to take care of her? Those were the things that were running inside his mind. Se Hun was also fidgeting on his seat as if wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. Su Ho looked at them and sighed. They're both restless. He thought. Other members feels the same way too. The first girl who slept on their dorm and the first girl who cooked food for the boys in their dorm. Two things that flatters them. Well if it ain't that obvious, they consider Ace as the group's best friend. At least that's what he wants to imply. 

"Hyung." Chan Yeol quietly called Su Ho. He turns to Chan Yeol and hummed in response. "What?" Chan Yeol jerked his thumb gesturing to go out. "I need to go somewhere." Su Ho's forehead creased. "All of a sudden? Where to?" Su Ho asked. "Noona texted me and asked me a favor. It's kind of important." Chan Yeol have an elder sister who is a known news anchor, Park Yoora. "Is that so? Okay then." Though Su Ho seemed suspicious on it he let Chan Yeol go. Aigoo~ Chan Yeol-ssi. Su Ho thought. "Thanks, Hyung." He muttered and stood up. "Ya, Eodiga?" Baek Hyun asked the moment he saw Chan Yeol stood up. All eyes were on him. "Uhh-Yoora noona called me."

"Ah~ arraseo, anjonhagejinaeda." (Trans: Alright, keep safe) Other members somewhat said the same words to him. Chan Yeol bit his lip and nodded. As he went out of the room, a few minutes later Se Hun followed. "Where're you going?" Kai asked. "Comfort room. I'll be back in a while." Se Hun doesn't actually needs to go to the comfort room. Ace's dormitory is not that closed by to the restaurant they're at but it's only a few rides away from there. Yes, Se Hun is going there to check on her if she's okay. He's that worried. He's been fidgeting on his seat and clamping his mouth for quite some time. She's a friend. There's nothing wrong if I'll go and check on her. He thought. Se Hun took out his mask from his pocket and wore them. Also his cap. It's a good thing he's already wearing a hooded jacket. He texted Kai and Su Ho that he got an errand to attend to and will headed straight to the photoshoot after. Some excuse he made. He walked towards the bus stop, glancing on those people that walks past him. He was nervous and weary on his surroundings. It's quite crowded on that place and he's afraid that someone might recognize him and would stop him from going to Ace. The bus was taking so long and so he hired a cab instead.

Thankfully he rode the cab safely without being recognized. He heaved a deep sigh and his mind flooded with thoughts. I should buy medicine just in case and some food and water for her. After some time taking ride he gets off on the nearest drugstore near Ace's dorm. He bought the things that are needed even though he's confused which one to choose and he ended up buying a lot from the expected. As he went outside he saw Chan Yeol getting inside Ace's dorm with a plastic bag on his hands. Se Hun's eyebrows creased. What's he doing here? He thought. Chan Yeol was greeted by Ms. Levi as soon as he went inside. Chan Yeol removes his hood since no one was there except Ms. Levi and him. "Uhh--Ace-seu bangi eodijyo?" (Trans: Where is Ace's room?) Ms. Levi smiled and asked him what does he needs with Ace. "I was on the phone with her a while ago and she seemed unwell so I came here to bring this." he raised the small plastic bag that contains medicine. Ms. Levi nodded. "I'll be the one who will bring her this. You must understand that we don't let outsiders inside the dormitory. They can only stay here in the waiting area." Chan Yeol politely nodded at Ms. Levi. "Okay, I understand. Then, please give this to her." Chan Yeol handed the plastic bag to Ms. Levi. "Gamsahamnida." (Trans:thank you) He bows again and left. Se Hun immediately hides on the post as soon as he saw Chan Yeol went out of the dormitory. So it wasn't Yoora noona that he was going to but Ace. He sighed and slumped his shoulders. He grips the plastic bag tightly and left the place.
