The Alpha's Human Mate

Surprise!

I snuggle into Luke's warm muscular chest. His warmth transfers to me making me so calm and comfy. I take in his delicious smell and I love it. I open my eyes tiredly and I'm met by Luke's eyes. Our eyes connect and the only thing that matters is our connection. After staring into each other's eyes for what seems like forever my stupid stomach growls. Luke smirks at the sound and my face begins to redden.

Luke then asks,"Hungry are we?" I smile and nod my head. Luke looks up at the plain clock in my room. 

He then says,"Well, breakfast should be coming." I smile a little more. I may love Luke but I also love food. Luke and I soon get lost in conversation. I ask him about the pack and what I've missed. 

I then ask,"What happened to Jason?" Luke's face drops and anger is clearly replaced. His eyes begin to go black, but he stops himself. I can feel the anger bubbling inside him desperately wanting to get out. After Luke takes a few calming breaths. His anger subsides. 

Luke then says,"He's somewhere, where he'll never be able to harm anyone ever again." I nod at his answer. I know that Luke probably wants to kill him, I even do but vengeance is never the route to go. We sit in silence for quite some time. I'm lost in my thoughts thinking of the future and what will come. I snap out of my thoughts when a lady with an apron enters my room. She has a steaming tray on a cart. She greets me with a warm smile and she bows. 

She then says,"Breakfast, Luna." She sets the tray down on a little table that's next to the bed. She bows once again and then leaves. I look at Luke confused. 

He then says,"Since you are my mate and I'm Alpha that makes you Luna, and everyone in the pack has to call you Luna. This is the pack hospital the workers here are all pack members." I nod. That makes sense it'll take time to get used to it though. My stomach growls again telling me to eat. I listen to my annoying stomach and begin to devour the tray of food. I eat a nice blueberry muffin, orange juice, and some yogurt.  When I'm done my stomach is full and satisfied. I lay all of the trash on the tray and wait for it to be taken care of. I look at Luke and he has an amused smirk on his face. 

I then ask,"What?" He just shakes his head and his smile widens. 

He then says,"You have a little yogurt on your face." My face reddens imminently and I begin moving my hands around my face hunting for the yogurt. I finally find it and wipe it from my face. I look at Luke who is laughing. I roll my eyes at him. 

I then ask,"Was that on my face the whole time?!" Luke begins laughing again and he nods his head. I let out an irritated growl. Wait a growl?! Luke stops laughing and I look at him scared. 

I then say,"Luke I'm so scared. I know nothing about being a werewolf." I retreat into Luke's arms and they imminently wrap around me. I take in his addicting scent and close my eyes. I may like the perks of being a werewolf, but I know nothing about being one. 

Luke then says,"I know you're scared Ember but we are going to get through this, together." We stay like that neither of us wanting to let go. When we do let go it's because the same lady with the food tray comes in. She bows again and grabs my tray and then leaves. I lay back on the hospital bed and stretch my hands. 

I then ask,"So when can we leave this joint?" Luke chuckles a little at my question and raises his eyebrow.  

He then asks,"Eager to get out of here are we?" 

I then say,"No offense but I don't like hospitals very much." He nods his head at my answer. 

Luke then says,"Well if you feel alright then I guess we can leave now." My eyes widen at his words. We can leave! I jolt up and hug Luke and squeeze him. Luke chuckles at my reaction. After hearing that I can leave Luke went to sign the discharge papers. I was given the luxury of changing out of this hideous hospital gown and into some nicer clothes. I walk to the bathroom that is connected to my room. I close the door and lock it behind me. I strip out of the plain hospital gown and get into the small shower. I turn on the steaming hot water and I soon become relaxed. I close my eyes enjoying this moment. I shampoo my hair and wash my body taking my time. When I'm fully cleaned I turn off the soothing warm water. I step out of the shower and shiver at the coldness. I grab one of the hospital's white towels and begin drying off myself. Once I'm dried off I grab the clothes Luke had given me.  I hold up the party dress Luke had given me, and I still don't know why he's having me wear a party dress. I slip into the dress and it fits me well.
