It's been two weeks since I killed Ryan Harold Livingston. The funeral was so hard on me, but I was surprised when I found out that the whole pack wasn't mad at me, but showed me pity and compassion. I sigh as I look out my window. I can tell that spring is coming. The trees are already beginning to bud and the sky seems bluer. I've begun the process of letting the grief go. I've been grieving for a while, and I know that Ryan's death will be on my shoulders forever. I sigh and shake the memory of me squeezing the life out of him. I get up from my bed and head to my bathroom. I look in the mirror and sigh at my bed hair. I grab my brush and begin taming my messy hair. After my hair is nice and soft I place my brush back onto the sink. I look at myself in the mirror and take in a deep breath. I walk out of the bathroom and leave my glorious room behind. I make my way down the hallway and pass a few pack members. I walk down the staircase and make my way to the kitchen. I grab a pear out of the pack's fruit bowl and walk over to the table. I sit next to Julia who is talking to her friend Macy. After she wraps up her conversation she turns her head to me. She smiles widely at me and I give her a smile back. Her eyes light up with excitement knowing I'm not faking my smile.
Julia then says,"Hey, girl! Where have you been, I've been so bored all morning!" I laugh at her exaggeration, and Julia's face lights up at the sound of my laughter.
I then say,"Ya, I haven't been too occupied either."
Julia then asks,"So, do you wanna go to the mall?" I begin to think about the mall and I guess it wouldn't hurt. I mean I haven't been out in awhile.
I then say,"I guess so." Julia squeals at my answer. I laugh at her reaction. I finish my pear and Julia finishes her sandwich. After we're done eating I grab my credit card Luke had given me a while ago. We then head out the front door and to the parking lot where Julia's blue jeep. I get in the passenger seat and Julia, of course, is in the driver seat. She starts the car and soon were driving on the road with the song "Can't Stop Dancin' by Becky G". I nod my head to the beat and Julia taps her fingers on the steering wheel. We drive for around 25-15 minutes until we reach the mall. Julia gets a good parking spot and parks her jeep. We get out and head to the mall practically running. We head to Forever 21 first, and I pick out some shorts and short-sleeve shirts. We roam the mall and find Dunk'in Donuts. I get myself a frozen hot chocolate, and Julia gets a smoothie. We sip our drinks and chat about random things. We stay at the mall for hours until it's around 3:55 p.m.
I then say,"Hey Julia we better make our way back. You may not have a mate, but mine is gonna kill me if I don't get home." Julia chuckles and agrees that we start heading home. We exit the mall and pass a small corner. A man in some dark jeans and a black hoodie gives me this look.
*He gives me the creeps.* I nod to myself. My wolf is right. That guy does. I shake the thought out of my mind and continue to walk with Julia. I then get this feeling, as if we're being followed. I walk a little bit faster and Julia can sense my distress. I look behind my self and see the same guy in the black hoodie following us.
I then whisper,"We can't go to the car." Julia nods knowing that if we lead him to the car then he could get his hands on us easily. I take the lead and make my way towards the woods that surrounds the whole town. Julia gives me a nervous look, and I grab her hand and give it a reassuring squeeze. Were soon surrounded by woods, and Julia and I begin to run. I hear more people following us, and my heart speeds up. Julia trips on a root sending us both to the ground. I look up and see 5 men surrounding us. I can tell that their rouges by their horrible smell. Julia looks at me frightened and I give her a sad but nervous smile. The guy in the black hoodie stands right in front of us with a hungry smirk on his face.
He then says,"Well, well, well look what we got here. A couple of whores!" My wolf growls inside, but I calm her.
He then says,"Well, we didn't just chase you down to do nothing. I call the brunette." I growl loud and fierce. The men flinch a little and I smirk to myself. I stand up and put on a fierce face on. The guy in the black hoodie's face becomes enraged. He takes a few steps closer to me so that he's only one foot away from me.
