I'm now a McDavis. I can start a family of my own. Some would say kids, but we got a cat. What'd we name it? Nick, after Justin's childhood cat.

He was a small kitten who was white with some orange spots of fur on him. We was a sweet cat, who obviously loved me more than Justin.

That same day we adopted Nick, Kayleigh reminded me that she was pregnant with a boy.

Nine months later on February 13th, Mason was born, Kayleigh and Austin's son. The baby grew up with Nick, always coming over and playing with the cat. Justin and I thought we were complete with just a cat but something was missing. A kid of our own, we only wanted one, thinking 2-3 was too many to handle. So, that very night, March 28th, Justin and I decided to have a baby.

About 2 weeks had past since that night and I was late on my period. I went to the corner store and bought 2 pregnancy tests to check and double check if I really was pregnant.

Positive.

Positive.

Both were positive. Justin was off at work and I was ecstatic to tell him the news! Around 5:30 when he got home, I sat him down, and as he was petting Nick, I began talking.

"Positive."

"What?" He said with a puzzled look.

"You're gonna be a dad." I said as I handed him 2 pregnancy tests.

Justin jumped up flinging the cat off his lap and he ran and just hugged me, sobbing.

"Oh my God I'm going to be a dad! We need to go baby shopping now! We need to make you a doctors appointment to make sure our baby is healthy! I'm gonna be a dad!" Justin stood there still hugging me with his face covered in tears just rambling.

I called my doctor, Dr. Payne, and told her that I needed to be checked to make sure I'm really pregnant, then schedule check ups to make sure that the baby is okay.

Two days later, Justin and I pulled into the parking lot of Dr. Payne's office. I was right. I'm pregnant, but not in the way I expected.
