Should I go? I'm asked to leave everything behind to be happy with Justin, but I have so much ahead of me....
"Yes." I told Justin.
"Really? Are you sure you want to?" He questioned me.
"Let's go. Right now."
I decided I'd leave mom a note, so she wouldn't call the cops over a kidnapping.
Dear mom,
I'm going away. I'm not happy anymore. I can't find happiness in this small town, Justin and I are leaving. Don't worry about us. We'll be safe. I have my card and my clothes. I'm leaving behind all my "friends" because they've proven to me they know how to back stab you. I love you and dad so much. I'm sorry I couldn't wait till you were home. I knew you'd try to change my mind.
Love,
Kylie JoI left the note on the counter, grabbed my bags, and hopped into Justin's 1996 Chevrolet Silverado. I had a pretty good idea as to where we were going. I was right.
About 7 hours later, we made it. We pulled into the Best Western Hotel in Corpus Christi. That's where he was happiest. We bought a room on the 3rd floor, got the key and walked to our room.
My cousin lived there, so I called her and had her come visit. About 15 minutes later, there was a knock at our door and Justin opened it to a girl who's about 5'7", brown hair, brown eyes.
"Kylie! It's so good to see you again!" She yelled.
"Jannette! Hey!" I replied as we ran to each other for a hug.
Why're you here? Is this the Justin I've heard so much about?" She asked, followed by about another 30 questions.
I answered them all, she was most surprised by the fact that me and Kayleigh hadn't talked in a while. She knew she was my best friend and thought nothing could separate us.
We went to the beach, the three of us, then went to dinner at the Saltwater Grill, which none of us had been to before so it was a new experience.
We sat at the table just talking for about 2 hours, till we finally said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. Back at the hotel, Justin and I went to the indoor pool and just hung out till 1 in the morning, and went back to the room and passed out.
