We stayed at many different hotels throughout Corpus over the next 2 years till we finished our high school diplomas online. We both ended up going to college, and getting our degrees. Mine was a bachelors degree in Early Child Education and his was a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.

We still talked to our parents, they hated the fact that we left but at they were happy for us at the same time. We got a job and bought our first house.

Still, no communication between me and Kayleigh until I finally decided to call her and invite her for our house warming along with many others whom we hadn't talked to in a while.

On the 17th of April, we threw our housewarming and everyone had already drove down the night before. At about 11:00, people started showing up, but no Kayleigh.

Two hours into the housewarming party, there was a knock at our front door. I went to open the door and there stood Kayleigh and Austin. Contrary to popular belief, I was ecstatic to see her. Dispute all our arguments, she was still my best friend. I was surprised to see a ring on her finger and a big belly. She wanted to surprise me. They were pregnant, and I was the godmother with Justin as the godfather.
