I squeezed my eyes shut in frustration as notifications from my phone constantly screamed at me, I stirred from the place in between consciousness and slumber as my hand waved around blindly, patting my bedside table, searching for the device that was disturbing my sleep.
Finally I clutched the vibrating iPhone in my fingers and bought it towards my face, squinting my eyes a little due to the gleaming scream that displayed hundreds of messages from various instagram accounts.
I groaned and sat up, sliding my hand down my face as I unlocked my phone, cueing more notifications to come flooding in. "shut up" I grumbled, still feeling half asleep as I clicked on the instagram app, at the top of my feed was a photo of me carrying Y/N who clung to my chest towards her car and there was a hashtag in the caption that read "#finnsmysterygirl"
I rolled my eyes and clicked on the hashtag revealing thousands more posts identical to that one and I felt a smile creep onto my face. No one knew who she was but they all suspected she was my girlfriend, I wish she was my girlfriend.
My follower count had shot up and the fan accounts were going crazy, if she got social media everyone would know who she was,
if she got social media she would know who I was.
I need to tell her who I was.

The sun warmed my skin in the late morning blaze and there was nothing to be heard other than the soft movement in the water and the distant commotion of the traffic closer to the middle of town.
I jumped at the sudden alarm that rang through the air as it sounded the time for me to turn over, I sat up and stopped the alarm as i got to my feet and walked to the poolside "is the water warm?" for the second time in one minute I jump in fright, my head shooting around to lay eyes on Finn Wolfhard himself,
I breathed a sigh of relief lifting my hand up to my chest and shook my head "you scared the life out of me Wolfhard" he just chuckled and looked me up and down "sorry your parents let me in also, y-you look nice today Y/N" "oh shut it Finn and pass me that towel" I grumbled pointing to the brightly coloured towel laying on the sun lounger,
I watched him walk over and grab it and he was about to hand it to me when a sly grin crept onto his face "you'll have to come and get it princess" "seriously Wolfhard give it to me now" I stood with my arms crossed, he shook his head slowly and stretched his arm over the pool still clutching the towel tight "Finn! I'm not playing around give me that towel!"
"sorry I can't do that" he laughed "why have you got to be so damn immature" I groaned starting to walk over to him "you love it" Finn grinned "I really don't" I said reaching out for the towel in his hand "come one reach a little further Y/N almost there" "It's not my fault you have long ass arms" I whined making him laugh,
I felt his warm breath on my neck, I hadn't actually noticed how close we were but he was now only inches from my face, I felt my cheeks turn I deep red and burned hotter than the sun above us "I-um" he mumbled glancing at his toes, seeing that his guard was down I reached out for my towel and snatched it from his grip
"AHA!" I yelled in triumph before slipping right off the edge of the pool and hitting the icy water which engulfed my body in seconds,
I burst from the surface holding a soaked towel "WOLFHARD!" I shrieked but he was already howling with laughter from the pavement above me. "I hate you" I sulked sweeping my hand through the water and splashing him in the process
"here let me help" he gleamed, swanning over to me and holding out his hand "I don't think so" I smirked gripping his hand and tugging him toward me so suddenly that he let out a yell before crashing into the water next to me clothes and all.
I took my chance and swam to the edge as fat as I could but as my fingers grazed the side, Finns hand wrapped around my foot so suddenly and pulled me back to him, I squealed before bursting out into a high pitch giggle as we spun around in the water, so close to each other that the warmth radiating off our bodies made me oblivious to the cool water around us.
Finn placed his hand ever so gently on my cheek making my heart beat speed up until all I could hear was the patter against my chest and our short breaths merging into one.
Was this the moment? I thought to myself, was I about to have my first kiss? with the boy who I so kind and understating yet so frustrating. Stuff it, and with that I felt myself leaning toward his plump lips, my eyes fluttered closed and I sucked in my breath "wait" his voice sounded ever so soft and kind of guilty, I opened my eyes and pulled back blushing deeply
"I'm sorry Y/N but I have something to tell you" my heart sank deep in my chest "you have a girlfriend don't you" I muttered embarrassed that I tried to kiss someone's boyfriend "what! no no of course not, I like you Y/N I really do but there's something that you need to know"
I reached up to his hand which still rested on my cheek and pulled it off gently "can we talk inside, I'm cold" I mumbled turning and swimming over to the side of the pool and pushing up onto my hands before walking inside to fetch another 2 towels.
