ELI's POV 

I knew it was the girl from instagram that everyone has been raving about "Finn Wolfhards Mystery Girl" I remembered countless headlines from various fan pages going crazy about but soon she would be labelled as Y/N.

 My fist pounded against the door of a familiar house, it swung open almost immediately to reveal my best friend standing there with a puzzled look on her face "Lizzie I have the best news, you're gonna freak" I babbled walking into the house and taking a seat on the nearby couch. 

Lizzie owned a big fan account dedicated to Finn and when I told her I'd finally found the "mystery girl" our lives could change forever.

YOUR POV

I sipped on the hot chocolate as the crickets in the late afternoon sun chirped so very loud. I about to pack up my bag and head home when I heard multiple people approaching and "Y/N!" "are you Finn Wolfhards girlfriend" "do you and Finn have any relationship" "are you the one Finn's been hanging out with lately" "Y/N Y/L/N over here" "Y/N!" "Y/N!!" 

I stood shell shocked, staring at all the cameras for once being pointed at me and the voices that filled my head with questions about Finn and me. Why were they here?, why did they care about me and Finn being so close? Is Finn some sort of criminal? the questions kept coming from my mind almost as fast as the ones being shouted at me in that very moment.  

The flashes blinded me and I wanted to run and curl up in a ball and scream and cry and tell them to shut up but I was frozen and all I could manage were a few small breathes, "Y/N?" 

although my vision was almost blacked out I heard a more familiar voice I had heard only hours ago "Y/N it's Eli are you okay?" I shook my head and tried to blink away the slowly building tears only to make them spill over and run down my cheeks "my friend Lizzie is here do you want us to take you home?" 

all I could do was nod since he was at least an acquaintance and all these other people were complete strangers.  

The two people who I only know the names of were on either side of me practically dragging me to my house which was just a few yards away. My mind was drowning in questions - was Finn some sort of criminal? is that why everyone is asking me questions and taking photos? maybe he robbed a bank or stole something. 

Lizzie swung my front door open to reveal my father sitting at the table reading a newspaper, his head shot up - eyes wide in shock as he took in the scene. "Y/N..." I heard him whisper over the shouts form outside "what happened to her?! what's going on? who are you?" he spoke even faster than my thoughts spun. 

"Hi sir I'm Eli and this is Lizzie we are your daughters friends and some paparazzi swarmed her outside so we thought we would help" Eli explained in a calm fashion, what was he talking about they're aren't my friends?!?! 

I don't even know them. 

But I couldn't speak, couldn't tell my father that he's allowing these people into our house, my breathes quickened at the sound of the lies coming out of their mouths, "Uhm uhh take her up to her room I'll grab her medication" my father instructed, I felt them both look at me before starting up the stairs and into my room. 

Moments later dad came in with a glass of water and the sedatives I've taken before, I took them quickly not saying a word as the two so called 'friends' watched me, and finally my father help me lay down before I felt myself slipping into a deep slumber with the shouts still echoing from outside.

ELI's POV

As soon as Y/N's dad left the room Lizzie ran over to her phone and unlocked it quickly, "Lizzie what on earth are you doing" I hissed "becoming famous" she smirked before tapping a few buttons and turning the screen toward me so I could see a text sent to 'Finn'. I

 raised my eyebrows at her proud expression plastered on Lizzie's face "we are gonna be his friend in no more than 2 days, which happens to also be Y/N's birthday by the looks of her calendar" Liz explained tapping a few more things I could not see. 

We sat around for 20 more mins waiting for Y/N to wake up but our silence was interrupted by a buzz coming from her phone. Lizzie pounced onto it, her fingers fumbling to unlock the phone before squealing and turning the screen to face me again

Finn 🐠: I was starting to think you didn't like me Y/L/N, I'm in America at the moment actually but I'll be back tomorrow 

Cinderella 👠: perfect, it's also my birthday so be sure to remember a present 

Finn 🐠: when did you become so pushy Cinderella 

Cinderella 👠: I've always been like this, can I bring a few friends? 

Finn 🐠: it's your bday so yeah ahhaha

Cinderella 👠: Thanks Babe, I love you

Finn 🐠: what?

Lizzie clapped her hand over her mouth "I don't think they're dating Eliot" she said slowly a smile growing wide across each cheek "what do you mean?" 

"I mean I just told Finn that I love him and he said 'what' which means he's single which means we can not only become his friends but I can also become his girlfriend so we will both be famous!" she said a little too loud.
