Chapter Nine: (Karmin's POV)

I awake to the sound of bustling and see people jogging everywhere, my body relaxing back into the mattress as I realize I wasn't even going near my team today. But then as my mind became not fogged, more aware, so did my stomach. I hadn't eaten since I trusted my team... 4 days ago and I hadn't let Gordon in either. Reluctantly, I stand to my feet and grab clothes. I walk into the bathroom and take a shower, quickly in and out as I brush my hair and place it in a ponytail. I dress then walk out, my boots stomping about as I walk out into the 7AM heat.

I stroll to the food tent and find it calming as I realize the team would never be up this early. I grab a plate and grab two pancakes, three sausages and two eggs. I pour syrup on my pancakes when someone sits across from me. I look up and find Mary standing there with the team behind her as they all sit. I figure it's pointless to move to a different table if they just follow me so I stay put, but look back down to my plate and ignore them as they greet me. "Bloom, we're sorry about the prank." Nick starts, before adding something that caught my attention. "Mary told us about your past and we realize that was cruel to do because of your schooling's past."

My eyes widen and I go to yell at Mary, but there was no point, plus she's only get the satisfaction of me talking, so I avoid it. I continue to eat, making my eyes normal again, not so wide in shock as I stay in silence. I then hear footsteps beside me that move to the left, a new warmth hitting my left side as the body sits. I turn my head the slightest and notice it's Gordon who's looking at his food then back at me. "Nice of you to join us, Karmin." He grins, making me send him a small smile. I finish and stand to my feet, walking to the trash can then turn as I realize I have to walk past the table to leave. I sigh and walk that way, being stopped by Euan's hand grabbing my wrist.

"Karmin, please stop being this way. Just yell at us already." He begs. I shake his grasp off me and continue on.

"Bloom, just tell us what you think." Nick adds.I take another step when Mary says something that pushes me over the edge.

"Karmin stop being rude." She calls and Gordon says the same the thing.

"I am being rude? I am sorry, wait, I really am not. Mary, you are our padre and suppose to help us, not hurt us and especially not telling others what is in our file. And even with that, you telling them should have been a stopping point and then pulling that prank was such an asshole move! You all fucking knew how they used to do similar things and yet you fucking pull that shit! And to make it better, we are suppose to be destroying bomb threats, not making false ones. We're suppose to be there for our team, not make them feel like shit. So you can all go fuck yourselves and you too House. I thought you were on my side, but obviously not." I spat, facing them all to see their priceless faces before I spin on my heel and walk off.

I stroll to where my notebook lie from earlier, my body facing the west, making sure I could see my surroundings. I sit down and just look at the place around me, wondering how hard it'd be to get food resources in this place of solitary if there were no federal grounds here.

Gordon's POV:

I sigh and run my hand against the other hand's palm. "So House, what are you going to do?" Nick asks, my shoulders shrugging.

"I don't know what I can do. I slightly screwed her over and she won't let me back in." I sigh in realization, completely hoping it'd be easier than that. I didn't expect it to, just hoping it would be. We all sat there in silence for a few when we hear a sigh.

"Okay, so I may have been a bitch about the entire situation. It's hard to find fun out here, and I get it. I'm sorry for getting pissed about practically nothing, I shouldn't have." Karmin looks to me, then the rest of the team who jump up and tackle her in a hug. She lands on the sandy floor with an 'oomph' and everyone laughs as they get off her.

"We were being asses and you had every right to be mad," Nick admits, Karmin smiling back at him. Rocket gets between them and starts to dance.

"Okay, I could have lived without seeing that." Nick groans, blinking his eyes rapidly to wipe the image away. We all grumble in agreement, but Karmin begins to laugh at him. She turns, shaking her head then walking away. I watch as Mary jogs to her and starts a conversation. They both smile and Karmin starts to make hand gestures.

"Someone likes someone," Nick whistles in my ear, my eyes rolling.

"Yes, I do. As a friend." I mutter irritably, already having this same discussion with Simon, although this one hadn't included the accusation of secret sexual encounters, that to me are non-existent.

"I know. I'm just joking with you mate." He laughs, being serious. I nod and then pass by Mary who looks awestruck. "What happened?" Nick questions, looking at her like she was crazy.

"K-Ka-Karmin j-just let me i-in. S-she actually s-spoke t-to me a-and told me a-a lot." Mary stutters in disbelief, this wide grin spread across her face as she fist bumps the air.

"Never EVER do that again." Nick orders, Mary clearing her throat as she tries her best to compose herself, hiding her excitement although you could see the glimmer in her eyes.

"Where did Karmin go? I was going to ask if she wanted to play a round of mysterious questions." Rocket frowns, looking round for her.

"She went to her chambers I think. I don't know. She offered for me to walk with her, but I declined. I have to do stupid paperwork, but I am sure she's free. Oh and if you see her, tell her thank you and that we have post tomorrow. Bye." Mary ensures, departing from us three men, until Skip and Kevin join us. We continue our way when the lieutenant pulls Nick, Skip, and I from the group, leaving Rocket and Kevin on their own.
