Ma-i

Britain: hay Emilio, I have a question.
Emilio: sure thing.
Britain: do you and Maria have another adult figure before Spain?
Emilio: *sigh* sbi ko na nga may mag-tatanong noon. (I knew they would bring that up)
Britain: what?
Emilio: nothing... if i tell you can you keep it from Maria?
Britain: sure thing.
France:we want to hear ze story to.
Emilio: *sweat drop* fine just don't tell Maria, if you do i will kill all of you.
America:sure thing!
Emilio: quiet down America! She might hear us! *sigh*

It all started long ago...

America: when?!

Emilio: just shut up and listen!

There was an island, it was filled with resources. And the people there, it was... horrid. Tribes fight for territory, killing other tribes, invading territory, the people back then was blood thirsty.

There was a tribe called, "May Nilad" it was the strongest Tribe, it was able to take down 12 tribes in a month. In that tribe stood, Ma-i.

Britain: wait, your mother is chinese?

Emilio: are you going to let me explain or you'll do the talking?

Britain: carry on.

Emilio: Ma-i was a hedgehog, she sticked into one rule, and that was "trust China." Since she had no name China gave her the name Ma-i, and from that name she modified it from Ma-i to May Nilad, it means "where the Nilad flower grows."

One day she came across Maria. She had nothing to do with her so she offered her to China, Sadly China was hands full of asian countries, so he didn't want to keep her, instead he suggested to take care of her.

She did that instruction. Maria grew and i was born. She was happy she kept her, but there was something missing from Maria.

She was heartless...

Italy: ve~ isn't she heartless when she's mad?

Emilio: this was a different heartless, i meant the evil heartless....

She had no emotions she was one of the ruthless warriors. She was able to conquer seven tribes in such a young age.

Ma-i didn't want to let Maria grow like her, but wanted her to be a land where peace grows, but she new if she can't show love then Maria will never. Like what i said she was heartless.

Then some Spanish dudes came to her lands. Ma-i drive them away. She was thinking on how she will turn Maria into something better.

Suddenly those Spanish guys came back, instead of fighting them, she disappeared. She let Maria get conquered, she knew if she didn't give Maria what she needed, she thought that the invaders will give it to her.

With the love and patience that Spain gave, that's how Maria came to be... what's up with you guys? *other guys was crying.*

*Maria enters the room*

Maria:oh hay guys! Right on time, i bought some fresh coconuts... why are you guys crying? Did Emilio say something mean to you?

Italy: ve~ maria we are so sorry abou-
Emilio: *chokes Italy* about the vase! Italy broke it!

Maria: it's ok Feliciano. *smiles*

After a while...............

Emilio: phew *Smiles* I know you're there you don't need to hide.

Ma-i: *goes down, and gives Emilio a warm smile* How are you my child?

Emilio:  *mano* I'm fine po [mano is a gesture Filipinos do to show respect]

Ma-i: buti naman. (I'm glad)

Emilio: I have a question to you... when are you going to stop hiding from the shadows and tell Maria the truth?

Ma-i: Why do i need to show? She's grown up as one big happy, powerful, fun loving, but most of all independent country. that is what is important. She had probably forgot me, but no matter what i will never forget the first day she smiles.

Later that night...............

Maria: *whispers* musta na po kayo mama? (How are you mama?)
Ma-i: *whispers back* mabuti naman ako anak... (I'm doing fine, my child...)
