Tao One Shot (for Mindy72)

  You settled yourself down comfortably on the seat next to the windows of the classroom and enjoyed the cool wind of Decmeber that was caressing your face gently.

  You turned your head around slowly as you felt a light tap on your shoulder. You came face to face to your best guy friend, Tao.

  He had the same usual charming smile on his face it was just that there was something else more in his smile that you could not comprehend.

 

  You smiled back at him and blocked out all the negative thoughts out of your mind. You greeted Tao with the same old usual fist bump that the both of you never got bored with.

  Your face turned into a deep shade of scarlet as your skin came into contact with his. Tao never knew how such little skinships between the two of you can give you butterflies in your stomach. In fact, that day, you were feeling the whole zoo!

  You had a crush on Tao for a long time. He was totally oblivious to that fact or maybe you were just good at hiding your feelings. The only person in the world that knew about your huge crush on him was another bestfriend of yours, Candy.

  Feelings liked this should never be told to a guy bestfriend especially when you were actually crushing on him. It was always good to talk to someone who understood the electricity that shot through your body whenever you see Tao. As for you, Candy was the best person that you could ever ask for.

   Tao suddenly reached out for your hands and broke you off your train of thoughts, he told you mysteriously, "I have something to tell you."

  You followed Tao outside the classroom, pondering over the possible things that he would want to tell you secretly.

  Was it he succeeded in killing a crockcoach or he broke his wushu stick? Maybe he adopted a panda?

  You did not know the exact reason for him to be so secretive.

  He brought you to a quiet part of the school compound, where no one usually walk pass. There, you saw a familiar figure.

  It was Candy.

  "Hey Candy, why are you here?" you asked her nonchalantly.

  Surprisingly, as soon as Tao saw Candy, he broke into a huge grin. He released his grip on your hand and walked towards Candy.

  He hugged Candy tightly and whispered loud enough for you to hear, "I missed you."

  Candy giggled, "Tao, it was just five minutes ago since we last met!"

  You gawked at the two of them. What was happening? Was that some kind of joke? You looked at your watch, it clearly stated that it was not April Fool's Day. It was in the middle of December, when snow were falling like no tomorrow.

  "Mindy, don't just stand there, come here." Tao waved his hand at you.

  You walked towards them with a fake smile plastered on your face.

  "This is not true ..." you thought hopelessly to yourself while praying silently in your heart.

  "Mindy-ah, we are dating!" Tao raised his right hand which was interwined with Candy's left hand. That scene seemed so ironic to you.

  You studied Tao's blissful expression carefully, searching for any traces of deceive on his face. It might be some kind of show that they were putting up. However, you found none.

  You mustered up your courage and turned your head towards Candy.

  She blinked her eyes innocently at you and asked you in a sugary tone, "Aren't you going to shower us with your blessings?"
