Upon arrival at the hospital, the first thing Willow heard was yelling.
"WE NEED TO KILL IT!" a gruff male voice yelled.
"THEN WHY DID YOU BRING IT HERE!" a older voice yelled. A high pitched whining noise accompanied the shouts.
"What do you think that is?" Willow asked. When she turned to Henry she saw him running down the opposite hall. "Where are you going?" she yelled.
As usual she got no response. Henry was often disappearing without a trace with no explanation. Willow had no idea why.
As the voices grew, so did Willow's curiosity. She quietly walked over to the door and turned the knob.
What she saw inside was a full blown argument. The Boss seemed to be yelling his head off with the witch cats hissing at his opposer.
Upon closer inspection Willow saw that the cats weren't hissing at the man, but the trap behind him. The red eyed demon creature must be inside.
"Willow." the Boss said, breathing heavily. "Tell this utter fool that the creature inside his trap deserves to be spared."
Willow almost dropped her bags in surprise. The Boss always seemed to know who had entered and exited a room. Even though he had done this several times, the surprise never fully wore off.
"Come in." The Boss said. Willow nodded and stepped inside the room. Now that she was inside, she could clearly see who the Boss was fighting with.
Marcus Avers was standing across the room with his arms crossed. he was a large rugged man with muscles bigger then Willow's head. Kit and Sloane Avers were behind him. Kit's brown hair was shaved on one side, but other then that if he grew facial hair he would be a smaller younger version of his father.
Sloane Avers was taller then her father with equally large muscles but, in Willow's opinion, she had a worse temper.
"Think about what you're saying." Avers said. "You're letting a wild creature run wild here. It could kill thousands if it got out."
"Anything here could." the Boss said. "My decision is final. It lives."
"You saw what it can do with its eyes." Avers said. "It could do a lot more."
Sloane spat on the ground and pushed her straggly brown hair out of her eyes. "We should waste it." she growled.
Avers and his children were Deerstalkers, a term for monster hunters. According to Avers he learned how to use a shotgun before he could walk. He met his wife while he was killing a nest of vampires and they were married soon after, and even had kids.
After they were born it was Avers' dream to give up hunting and live a normal life. On a trip to disney world however, they were attacked by a gorgon. Mrs. Avers hadn't made it out.
Ever since that day Avers was a different man. He was ruthless and was determined to kill anything that fell under the category of monster. Needless to say a peace keeper like the Boss and him didn't get along.
"What is it exactly?" Willow asked.
"Not sure. We think a demon cursed it." Avers said. "And since we don't know, that makes the thing even more dangerous."
"But it might be harmless." the Boss said.
"You, you felt what it did, didn't you?" Avers asked Willow. "Did that feel harmless to you?"
