I woke up the next day only to find my dad a complete, and total WRECK.

"Hey Da------"

"SHE'S GONEEEEE," he sobbed into a couch pillow.

"I really loved her, Carlee."

"Bullshit Dad.... She will NEVER be mom. That, Father, is why I don't give a shit." I replied while grabbing an apple and my homework off my counter.

I had heard my phone go off from upstairs quite a few times but focused on picking out my outfit for the morning.

Light denim skinny jeans, my favorite sweatshirt (black with my softball number on it), and my galaxy converse.

I decided I wasn't going to try today. Light concealer, little mascara, and a messy bun.

*Hey beautiful, I'm picking you up today. No ifs, ands, or buts about it*

From......

Jaxon.

So I started freaking out just a little bit.

Redid my hair, long, blonde, and straight as a pin.

Redid my makeup, no acne can be seen, covered my 'lashes in mascara, and a pencil thin line of my black eyeliner.

*I'm outside. Hurry your ass up love [; *

*I'll just take the bus XOXO*

I heard a knock on the door as I finished tying my converse.

I took a look in my full-length mirror.

"Your mom would be proud," my subconscious said.

I walked down my 32 stairs, yes I counted.

When you're alone in this house for a long period of time, you get bored.

"Hello Sir, I'm sorry for your loss. She will be missed." I heard him say.

Jaxon Lux, you, Sir, are one of a kind.

"Where is Carlee, if you don't mind me asking? We will be late if she takes any lon---- WOAH." he said as I slowly walked downstairs, carrying my apple, bookbag, and looking cute.

"Hah... Look okay?" I blushed while asking.

"You look beautiful, Carlee." he said with a smile.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he lead me towards his beautiful pick up truck.

He opened the door for me, just as I was trying to get the door myself.

"Um, Carlee? Who do you think you are? A beautiful lady like you simply cannot get her own door." He winked.

I instantly felt my cheeks turning red and I turned away.

Jaxon climbed into his truck and started the car.

About 10 minutes into the drive he reached over and grabbed my hand, interlocking our fingers, as if this was normal?

Oh boy....
