Eunju had not felt this relieved in quite a while."I'm serious. Jeno just told me that Jaemin and Yura broke up." Donghyuck had grabbed the girl's shoulders, and he shook her whole body as he told her the excited news, though, he received nothing more than a shrug.
"Come on, it's good news! You still like him, don't you?" Eunju stared at Donghyuck after he had said that, and she let her shoulders move up in yet another shrug, acting indifferent about the news even though her heart was hammering - Jisoo knew she was lying but kept quiet, promising herself to talk with the other girl about it later.
"It's complicated. I think I started liking him less, I guess.. I don't know." It was all lies.
Donghyuck squinted his eyes at the fidgety girl before leaning back in his seat, his head nodding up and down slightly, and he, much to Eunju's happiness, changed the topic.
As Donghyuck started ranting about their new teacher in chemistry, Eunju felt her best friend's eyes on her as well as another pair of eyes from the other side of the classroom, though, before she could say anything to anyone, the teacher walked in, immediately causing the students to fall silent.
Neither Jaemin nor Eunju could really concentrate, Jaemin because his mind was busy, did he like Eunju or was it because of his guilty conscience?
Eunju's body was working on its own, her hands moved on their own, writing down the stuff the teacher said, but she actually couldn't pay attention to the words, she did try, but the feeling of someone's eyes burning into her made her a bit too uncomfortable - it did not make it any better that it was Jaemin staring at her.
Before they knew it the bell rang, and like the others, Eunju wanted to get out of the classroom as fast as possible, though, Jaemin had other plans. As she was about to step out of the classroom something pulled her back by her backpack.
Jaemin had come to the conclusion that he didn't like her but decided that he'd feel better after talking to her, and then he acted without really thinking.
"What do you want Jaemin?" It was Eunju who broke the uncomfortable silence, and Jaemin, whose front was facing the teacher's desk, looked awkwardly at the teacher who hurriedly left the classroom before clearing his throat.
"I just wanted to talk to you?" It sounded more like a question than a statement, and Eunju let her lips form a thin line before she leaned against one of the desks.
"About what exactly?" The girl asked as she fiddled with her sleeve, not wanting to look into Jaemin's eyes, and he scratched his neck before taking a few steps towards her.
"About us.." A huff left the girl after Jaemin had said that, and he almost felt embarrassed by what he had said even though it was true, he did want to talk about them.
While shaking her head Eunju continued playing with her sleeves, folding them and unfolding them, and she almost felt her heart jump out of her chest when Jaemin lifted her chin.
"Please say something." Jaemin felt something inside him twirl as he looked into the girl's eyes for the first time in a while, and he felt the girl tighten her jaw against his hand before she shook his hand off, much to the boy's surprise - he'd be lying if he said that it didn't hurt a bit.
"Please leave me alone Jaemin." With that leaving her she swiftly walked past him and out of the classroom, though, the rather cold expression she was wearing while talking to him totally disappeared, and she let out a sigh making her way towards her friends.
"What happened? Jisoo told me that Jaemin made you stay with him in the classroom.. Did you kiss?" Moonhee gasped, and Eunju sat down on the grass between Sejeong and Moonhee.
Eunju shook her head with a slight smile before pulling out her phone, checking if someone had texted her or tagged her in something on Facebook, and she furrowed her eyebrows as she saw a message from Jaemin who hadn't texted her in a while.
She looked at the message, she even started replying but then deleted it again, leaving it unanswered.
"You aren't going to answer?" Jisoo knew who had sent her best friend a text, she could figure it out just by the girl's facial expressions, and Eunju felt the others look at her, Moonhee stopping mid sentence to look at her as well.
Eunju shook her head.

A sigh left Jaemin as he stared at his screen, impatiently waiting for a reply, and he looked over at the group of friends just in time to see Eunju place her phone back in her backpack - Jeno looked towards the group and back at Jaemin before taking a rather deep breath.
"You tried talking to her, right?" At Jeno's question the other boy only nodded, and he actually wanted to just throw his phone out of frustration.
"Yeah, but she did not want to talk." While those words left Jaemin he leaned his head against the tree the two were sitting by, and Jeno let out a small snicker-like sound, only earning a glare from Jaemin.
"Sounds familiar, doesn't it?" At those words Jaemin felt a wave of embarrassment and regret wash over him, and Jeno only gave him a look of pity before he gave him a pat on the shoulder.
"Knew she wouldn't talk to him, you owe me five bucks Renjun." A glare was sent in Chenle and Renjun's direction and Jisung, who had walked right behind them, gave Jaemin a crooked smile before sitting down beside Mark and Chenle.
"It's fine." As those words left him he got eye contact with Eunju from afar, and he felt something inside him twirl once again before looking back at the other guys.
Renjun was staring right back with raised eyebrows, and Chenle was just about to comment on the fact that Jaemin's cheeks had turned red.
"Dude no, you like her." Before the rather flustered boy could deny that statement, Jisung spoke up, bringing up the memory that was almost always brought up when talking about this topic.
"You went to her birthday party instead of mine."
