Jaemin frowned as he stared at his phone. He had woken up very early, and he actually just waited until he could head to school because he had some business to do.
To him it felt like hours before the clock finally allowed him to leave his room and head to school, and he felt himself getting slightly anxious at the thought of talking to her again - maybe because he was scared of what she'd say or maybe he was scared of hurting her even more even though he already had made her feel pretty distressed.
Frustrated had he sat down yesterday after talking to her and had come up with a plan to get to talk to her alone, which would be the hardest part - get her alone.
He was one of the first students to arrive and the emptiness of the halls made him feel a bit weird if he had to be honest, but it didn't take more than a couple of minutes before the halls started getting filled.
His eyes scanned the faces until they landed on his target and he went right up to her, swiftly avoiding bumping into other students.
It was a pretty bad plan to just walk up to her and drag her away, but he didn't want to ask Donghyuck or one of her friends to help him get her alone, so stomping right up to her was what he did.
Ignoring the complaints from Jisoo and weird stares from Donghyuck and Moonhee, he grabbed her and swung her over his shoulder, which was a bit difficult as they both had their backpacks on them.
The two quickly became the center of attention.
"Jaemin you dick, put me down." Eunju had hissed, trying to hide the fact that she was screaming on the inside, only causing Jaemin to let out a few tsk's, and Eunju rolled her eyes at that.
"Can't do, we need to talk." His sentences were short and precise, and the girl still tossed over his shoulder huffed.
When she finally got to stand on her own feet again, she found herself in a small room with lots of cleaning supplies and nothing more than a small lightbulb lighting up the small closet, and she let her lips form a straight line as she tried to avoid eye contact with the boy.
"Eunju-" She shut her eyes tightly, the way her name sounded coming from him made her feel all light and nice inside, and it annoyed her.
"Don't 'Eunju' me with that voice! You can't just play with me like that, you want to talk, then you don't, and then you want to talk again.." Jaemin's jaw was slightly dropped and he averted his eyes, feeling ashamed all of a sudden.
"I'm sorry, I just didn't know how to react.. I- Sorry." She didn't know why it pissed her off that he thought everything would be fine if he just apologized, because his apology didn't make what happened less humiliating.
"Jaemin, I need to get to class." Those words left her even though she knew the lesson started minutes ago and his eyebrows furrowed, and before she could leave the room he grabbed her wrist and turned her around, their faces now even closer than before.
"Please Eunju, let's just talk.." The girl swallowed hard as she stared into the eyes she had fallen in love with, and with a shake of the head she freed herself from his grip and turned her back to him before leaving the small closet, quickly heading towards the class.
She kept shaking her head until she stood in front of the door to the classroom, and she knocked a few times before walking in, her face getting hotter as everyone laid their eyes on her.
Jisoo sent her an apologetic look and her teacher cleared his throat before gesturing for her to sit down, which she did.
In came Jaemin, and a sigh left her as she leaned back in her seat, her eyes on the ground as she knew he'd be looking at her.
"So before these two suspiciously arrived late and right after each other-" The teacher started, making Eunju groan internally out of embarrassment, and she hid her face behind her hands as her classmates started looking her away again.
".. I was telling you about a project. This project won't be too big, it's just to see if you guys understood the topic we've focused on the last few times. And because I'm feeling nice, I'll let you choose who your partner is." Eunju's eyes quickly met with Jisoo's, but before she even had a chance to make her way towards her, someone walked up in front of her.
"Do you want to be partners?" She shut her eyes tightly before opening them, looking up at the boy standing right in front of her.
Because he stood so close it was rather difficult to stand up, and Eunju looked towards her best friend who was still looking at her.
"I was actually going to be partners with Jisoo." It was a very low mumble so she was surprised the boy had managed to make out what she had said, and he let out a small chuckle, his hand moving to his own hair.
"How did you plan that though? Telepathy?" He joked with a small, hesitant smile, and when she didn't laugh or smile back, his smile fell.
"No, I'm always with her." She said once again looking towards her friend who was patiently waiting for her, and Jaemin nodded his head.
"Exactly. Why not try something else?" Jaemin thought that if they became partners she was forced to talk to him and spend some time with him, but he didn't want to seem too desperate.
"No thanks." Eunju started, standing up making Jaemin take a tiny step back so she had enough space to do so, and he placed his hand on her arm.
"Eunju-" She grabbed his hand and pulled it away from her arm. She had to admit it was very tempting to say yes because come on, he still had a special place in her heart, even though she didn't want him to.
"I said no, Jaemin." The girl said, mostly to convince herself that she hated him, she hated him for acting like he had done and for humiliating her.
"Eunju.." Eunju had already started making her way towards Jisoo when her name once again left him, and she shook her head - she was not going to let him toy with her.
"You can't hate me forever." Eunju's eyes dropped to the ground, and she took a deep breath.
"Watch me."
