"Hey Eunju, you still think Jaemin is nice towards literally everyone?" The comment wasn't what bugged me the most, but the fact that it was the ninth comment or so the last two hours regarding and/or mocking my confession.

For some reason it was absolutely hilarious to joke about someone else's failures, but what had I been expecting?

Oh, and to make my situation even better, guess who's now avoiding me?

Yep, Jaemin.

It really was a disaster to have someone like me crushing on you, yeah I get it, but we were close so I really didn't expect him, out of everyone, to leave me hanging on my own.

"Will you mind your own business, you snake." Fits of snickers erupted from Jihoon, or what my best friend had called him 'snake', that one guy always picking or in worst scenario bullying someone.

"Hiss hiss, see you in history, Eunju. Guess who's gonna accompany! Your lover boy." With my back still pointed to him, I let my eyes roll to the back of my head, and a hand landed on my shoulder causing me to turn to my best friend, the only one, whom hadn't completely abandoned me.

"Thanks, Jisoo." The corner of her lip curved up as she gave me a quick nod, mumbling a small 'no problem' as she turned to open her locker, and a small sigh escaped me.

"Gotta be unabashed." Once again I saw her nod but only out of the corner of my eye, and her arm was linked with mine in a split second.

"It'll come to an end sooner or later." This time I was the one to nod, and her hand moved to my shoulder once again to give it a rather hard squeeze before our ways parted as she had a different class.

"There's your admirer, Jaemin!" That comment left one of Yura's friends as soon as I entered the classroom, but Yura surprisingly only shushed her instead of joining in with the laughter.

Jaemin only let his head drop at the sight of me and soon enough I had found my seat.

My head dropped to rest on the table, and my chaos like excuse of a mind took over, drowning out my classmates' comments with my own thoughts.

Had the comments really stopped or was I just too caught up in my own thoughts to listen to the words which left the others?

Probably the last part.

History sucked the last bits of life out of me as I felt drained when the bell rang, signaling the end of the day, and while everyone rushed out as if their lives depended on it, I took my time, which Jaemin apparently also did.

"Jaemin.." No responds.

"I'm sorry." I didn't know why I was apologizing but even though I did, still no responds left him and before I could ask him something else, all his things were gathered, and he was out the door.

My head dropped, disappointment filled my body, and my movements turned even more sluggish than they were before.

"Hurry up, slowpoke." Jisoo's voice echoed in my ears, and her words only caused a sigh to escape my lips as I slung my backpack over my shoulder.

Just as I stepped out to my best friend someone we weren't- someone I wasn't expecting stopped in front of us, and a small smile tugged at my lips.

"Hey Hyuck." The troublemaker as our teachers had, for some reason, labeled him as only grinned a bit, and Jisoo cleared her throat obviously wanting to escape this oh-so-horrible place called school.

"Oh yeah, hey to you two, I was just going to ask Eunju something." Donghyuck explained only earning a nod from my best friend, and she did a hand movement, signaling for him to hurry up and tell me whatever was on his mind.

"We're studying together tomorrow, right? The others from our group aren't joining though. Hyeseong threw up all day, and Shinhye is on holiday with her family." The boy explained to us as all three of us started heading towards the school gates.

"Ah, study group, right.. I'm in a study group with Jeno, Yura, and Hongwon." If Donghyuck hadn't been here I would have whistled or something as she was in a study group with her crush, but I kept myself from doing so.

"So, tomorrow after school?" Donghyuck stopped dead in tracks in front of me, and the small grin from earlier hadn't left his lips as he asked that question.

"Absolutely." I nodded my head at his request, causing him to nod as well, before he had bolted down the street, and my nerves calmed down.

How he, despite his teasing nature, didn't mention my confession and rejection was a mystery, but I was glad nonetheless, and Jisoo obviously saw my relief and happiness as she was quick to comment;

"Well, he is quite cute, don't you think?" At her words I only rolled my eyes, but I wasn't disagreeing.

That boy was indeed cute.
