"Jaemin, you okay? You look pretty down in the dumps." Jaemin looked up at his best friend after having been looking at his lunch for a good ten minutes without touching it, and he nodded weakly, clearly tired, the sleepless nights finally taking their toll on him.

Jeno sighed as the other one once again looked down at his lunch, and he exchanged knowing looks with the others sitting by the table; Mark, Renjun, Chenle, and Jisung - they all had their suspicions as to why he had been like this the last few day but decided to keep quiet about it.

The six friends hadn't hung out with Donghyuck in a while, both because of his new girlfriend but also because he had been spending time with Eunju as well as Jisoo.

"Hey, what's up with you?" The sound of his girlfriend's voice made him jump slightly, and his lips formed a thin line before he shook his head, maybe a bit faster than he should have done.

"It's nothing really." Yura tilted her head to the side slightly and took the seat beside him, a small apologetic smile tucking at her lips.

"Is it because she isn't talking to you?" At her question six heads snapped towards her, and the boys' eyes were wide, probably out of surprise.

Yura wasn't stupid, actually she had figured out pretty quickly that he didn't have any romantic feelings towards her, and during the time they had been together she also figured out that she didn't have any towards him.

Another thing she had noticed was that the boy frequently stole glances at the girl he had rejected and looked rather depressed each time her and Donghyuck laughed together.

"You like her, don't you?" This time it seemed as if Jaemin's eyes were going to pop out of his eye sockets, and Yura placed her hand on his shoulder, giving it a small squeeze before letting her hand fall into her own lap.

   "No-"

"Jaemin, it's very obvious, you look at her all the time, and I get it." Yura raised her eyebrows as Jaemin shook his head, denying liking the other girl.

"Yura, I just feel bad about rejecting her like that, it really isn't because I like her." Jaemin tried to convince her, and his friends sitting by the table internally groaned at their friend, finding it rather annoying that he continued denying what was so obvious.

"I think you need some time to think, Jaemin. Thank you for being my boyfriend though, and I hope it works out between you and Eunju." With one last smile and a friendly peck on the cheek she stood up, leaving the guys' table and heading towards her own friends a few tables away.

"Wow." Renjun breathed out, his eyebrows raising, and Jaemin nodded slowly, still trying to let the words sink in.

"Dude, you must like Eunju, you went to her birthday party instead of Jisung's." At his best friend's words Jaemin only shook his head yet again, and the youngest by the table grumbled something under his breath, probably about how Jaemin wasn't a real friend or something along the lines of that.

"This is like a scene from some drama or a chapter from some fanfiction, holy shit."

"You were the one who suggested he asked someone out, so he could reject me without having to tell me that he didn't think it'd work out between us?" At Eunju's tone Donghyuck flinched a bit while nodding slowly, and Sejeong only shook her head at her boyfriend.

"Okay, I wasn't thinking, and it was the first thing that came to my mind, and trust me I regret it a whole lot right now because you deserve a whole lot better. I'm so sorry, it was the worst idea ever." He took a deep breath after finishing his small rant, shutting his eyes tightly - he felt a bit nervous under Jisoo's harsh stare as well as Eunju's shocked one.

"Wow.. I don't know what to say or how to feel right now." Eunju frowned, and Donghyuck opened one eye at his close friend's soft tone before letting his lips form a frown as well, his head quickly shaking from side to side.

"I'm sorry, but I'll make it up to you, I swear!" He didn't know how to do so, but after causing her so much pain he knew he had to do it, and he tried to ignore the glare coming from Eunju's best friend.

"Okay, thanks for telling me, I guess." Awkwardly, the boy nodded, and the only one who said anything after that was Jisoo who kept mumbling small curses directed at Donghyuck under her breath.

A small huff left Eunju as she leaned back into her chair, the chatter of the other students not being enough to stop her mind from running wild.

"Was he really that weirded out by me liking him?" Her question broke the rather uncomfortable silence and was directed towards Donghyuck, and out of the corner of her eye she saw both Jisoo and Sejeong give her looks of pity.

   "Don't think like that, I'm sure it just surprised him." Sejeong spoke up before any of the others, and Jisoo nodded at her words before letting her hand find Eunju's, giving it a small squeeze as she spoke up;

"It's his loss, you know? He doesn't even deserve you liking him."
