Twenty-two

"You.." CODE9 looked down to me.  "What?" as i looked up to him weirdly.  "You looks different, i mean bothered. Is there anything wrong?" He asked concernedly

I faked my laugh and grinned "Nothing bruh, im so hype for tonight" i shrugged. "Ah right! We have a major battle tonight ooohh i can't wait!" He giggled and sat down "Maybe i should ask the others if they are going or not"

hurriedly, CODE9 sent messages to other players, showing how excited he was.

'Phew,  at least i succeed to distracted him from asking me about ny emotion right now'

No idea why i was a bit down that time, is it because my relation with CODE9 as friend? A close friend in this game? Can i really trust him outside of the virtual world?

Im so happy to have a friend like him,  it feels fun and enjoyful. But the thing is, i can't forget how my old friends treated me.

It's too cruel makes it unforgivable.

But, can i trust CODE9? He seems.. nice to me.

My eyes widened as i slightly slapped my face.

When i was walking down to the hall,  on my way i saw CODE9 was there standing with someone.

"Could it be..  That u have any relation with that girl?"

Quickly, i hid by the walls and eavesdropped them. It was a girl, taking to CODE9.

Not only her,  i was waiting for the answer direct from his mouth too.

My heart beated so fast.

"Hurry up, what are u thinking about? Im sure she is someone special to you" The girl asked, makes me more nervous. Why am i being like this?

As i placed my hand on my chest, CODE9 answered her.

"No, are u stupid? That girl is not someone special to me, not even a friend"

My heartbeat went low, hearing him saying those things.

My heart broke into pieces,  i was about to trust him but just like before,  they broke my trust.

"That's what im talking about. Do not be friends with her,  she's a mad one. I know her very well, let's go"

I sat on the ground, hugging my legs.

"As expected, i dont have any friends at all"

A drop of tear fell on my pale cheek, as i was alone in the dark,  crying like a pathetic person.

For half a hour,  i've been sitting there because disappointed of what happened while ago. And disappointed in me too, hoping too much and it became a fake plus stupid hope.

My screen beeped, and popped up in front of me giving me a bit of light. I lifted up my face and looked at it with my puffy eyes.

'Where are you?'

With both eyes, that were holding anger behind, i glared at it for about two minutes and sighed heavily.

"I can't just sit here, crying about stupid things. I should've realised it, that i dont need friends at all"

I convinced myself and stood up on my feets and almost losing my balance because sitting in the same position too long.

I walked forward, out of the darkness and making my way to tge battle ground that will starts few minutes more.

I opened my screen and replied CODE9 right away

The moment i stepped into the area, someone held my shoulder which i thought it was CODE9 but clearly i was wrong when i saw yellow mask.

"It's you" I sighed.

"What's with that voice? Are u okay?" CODE20 asked.

I nodded "Im just too excited for the battle" i laughed awkwardly and looked up when we heard the sirens.

"Welcome to the x21 battle, all of the invited players will get different batches, according to the level and speciality "

The batches apoeared in front of us,  but mine and CODE20 were different. His was green-blue coloured and mine was red.

"I guess i need more training. I've been busy becoming herbalist" CODE20 laughed.

"No you are not, u see green and blue are a combined colours. Green because u are good about plants and blue for you fighting skills. There" I pointed up to the large screen.

He read it and nodded "Guess u are right" He chuckled. "And for u miss, yours are Red. 30% of good making strategies and the others are skills" he sighed and chuckled.  "Damn you are good"

"I wonder if anyone got the black one"

As soon as the battle started, all of us disappeared to different places according to our levels and batches.

I looked around and there's nothing except black wall,  black surroundings. We were standing on the white and circle ground,  waiting for something unexpected to happen.

'What is that?'

I saw a diamond light came from above, making all of us looking up at the diamond and my eyes became more and more blurry.

As it took me a while to realised about it. Quickly i looked away and preventing me to see the light from the diamond.

'It's the diamond!'

Suddenly the light fron the white circle we were stepping on disappeared, only darkness filled the place and with the help of the beautiful diamond, we can see what's in front of us

But they didn't know that the light from the diamond will just bothering theirs vision and make then collapsed soon or later.

"something is coming!!" Someone shouted and something shot him right in the chest. Someone threw a sword and it directly went through the player's body.

My eyes became large to see it and i quickly looked away, can't bear to hear the player's screams in pain.

One by one died in the battle and just few players left to fight the unknwon robots in front of us.

Many diamonds appeared and i dont know where to see. I need to use my sense to know where to attack at the thing.

Out of sudden, the thing appeared in front of me but there's nowhere to see it. The thing was black, just like the background.

I can look up or around me anymore, the diamonds were all around me. I need to close my eyes but when i was about to attack it, the thing grabbed me by throat and lifted me up,  as i was lack of oxygen.

Not too long after, all i knew was i be released and the thing let me go. I sat on the ground, coughing so bad and someone stood next to me, making me wear the glasses.

"Open your eyes, u can see now"
