River Pov

Just by spending lunch with those people I knew I didn't like them. They gave me an ugly feeling I couldn't shake. Sam is the football captain and is dating Brittany the cheerleader captain. The typical popular power couple. Gregory here is your average player and jock. Brittz bff Melissa clearly has a crush on him. Every time he put his hands on me, which was a lot, she gave me a glare.

I finally made it to the last lesson,gym. This is the only lesson I enjoy. The teacher made us do 10 laps, I dont mind because running clears my head. I ran 10 laps in 5 minutes. This clearly impressed everyone and the teacher asked me to join the track team. I kindly declined. I changed and left as soon as the bell rang . Finally home time.

Before I went to my car I stopped by my locker for my bag . The lights went out leaving me in the dimly lit hallway. Well this is very creepy. I shut my locker and quickly walked to the exit. I heard footsteps behind me and turned around but no one was there. I turned back around to carry on walking and bumped right into Gregory. He was looking at me very weirdly.

He smiled a cynical smile and pushed me up against a wall hard. His touch repulsed me. I tried pushing him off but he held on to me tighter. I let out a whimper because he was hurting me. I tried pushing him off but he was too strong. He started trailing kisses on my neck. I started to panic. I felt a surge of power come through me from the pit of my stomach. I pushed Gregory with all my might and he hit the other side of the room into the wall, leaving a dent in the lockers. I was shocked, I heard him groaning which snapped me out of it. I ran with all my might and burst through the doors. I bumped right into someone else. Aahh not this again.

I looked up and found myself staring into Luka's ocean blue eyes. His hands were on my shoulders creating sparks where they touched. I felt a burning sensation in my chest and couldn't look away from his eyes."You should watch where you're going". His words snapped me out of my trance and I blushed. I looked around and found Gregory across the parking lot. Luka followed the trail of my eyes and his face hardened as soon as he saw Gregory. Gregory smirked then walked away. "You should go home. Storm is coming". He walked away without even a goodbye. Huh one minute he's cold the next he's ok. I got in my car and sped all the way home.

Luka's Pov

She's beautiful, breathtaking I must say. She smells like caramel, delicious.

I was about to go home but felt fear then a strange powerful sensation. River. I ran to the school doors and bumped into her, she looked shaken. "You should really watch where you going". She blushed. OH GOD SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! . She then stared off into the distance. I followed her eyes and saw Gregory across the parking lot. He smirked and then walked away. That slime ball touched my mate. He knew which means they all will know soon. "You should go home. Storm is coming", I then walked away.
