River pov

In a space time of one month I have found out that:I'm an angel, I have a werewolf mate, my dad left me behind, I got special powers, and I have a long lost twin brother. Just when I thought my life was simple it got turned upside down.

"Ryan I guess I should tell you what exactly happened to mom". Today is Ryan and River bonding day.We were in the forest strange hey, not to me. I find it really calming. Ryan was perched on a giant rock while I was on a log. Ryan looked at me. I told him how she died. He looked at me with a hard to read expression.

"Riv that's not what happened". What in the world is wrong with him."Look I know I was young but I remember what happened". He sighed.

"Mom died when we were 16. She was killed by Stephen the guy from your dreams. He's Lucifers henchman, or as you called him 'Lucifers bitch' ". I was very confused as none of this made sense.

"Then what happened when I was 5. I'm sure I didn't dream it".

"Mom put that in your head. It's her special power, putting things in people's heads. She was in heaven but when we were 16 she decided to visit you. She was attacked by Stephen and tortured, before she was killed". His hands bawled into fists.

I was too shocked to comfort him. "Then why in my dreams when I speak to her do they end up in her being torn by wolves". I felt so frustrated. "She probably thought you were not ready". He said simply

"What about dad?" Who knows what else is a lie.

"Our father died saving our moms life. She was pregnant and was attacked by Stephen. He died protecting her". I wanted to bawl my eyes out. Call me weak I don't care.

"Then who have I been calling dad"? I chocked out.

"He's moms best friend. He's back in heaven thats why you can't get a hold of him. Reece was to guard you".

"So I never met mom before".

"You were taken away as soon as you were born. Reece took care of you. He was your guardian".

So I have never met my parents. I didn't know I was crying until Ryan was wiping away my tears. He enveloped me in a hug and whispered reassuring words to me.The only good thing that came out of all this is that I got an amazing brother and mate. I don't know my parents but I will know my brother. He's the only family I have left.

I hadn't realised that I had fallen asleep until I was being picked up. I felt tingles where this person touched me.

Luka.

I looked up and stared at him for a while. I then mumbled where am I and he shushed me. He lay me under his covers once we reached his room. He crawled in and hugged me. "Luka my parents.... lies... the-" I chocked on my sob. "Sssshhh. I know, I heard".

That night I cried myself to sleep in Luka's arms while he cooed in my ear. I felt so safe being with Luka. This showed me how much I need him in my life.
