River pov

So let me recap:My mom came to me in a dream and told me that im an angel, the boy I like is a werewolf and thinks of us as friends and people want me for my powers

Yup I'm living an ordinary life.

Im surprisingly taking this all very well. I mean any normal person would throw a fit.

Well that's just it im not normal.

I'm a powerful supernatural being. I'm an angel. Funny thing is that I dont feel powerful. I feel scared,weak,and alone.

That's why I have been practicing fighting with Josh for a while. I was getting my ass kicked once again today!Yet I'm supposed to be the all powerful supernatural being.

"Come on angel

Dont tell me that's all you got". I got up from the ground huffing and puffing. This dog was seriously getting on my nerves with the angel jokes. "River.... What kind of a name is that for an angel?Mmmmm mama didnt love you-". That did it for me.

I felt a surge of power run through my body. I ran towards him and slid between his legs. I grabbed his leg and stood up. I flung him in the air. I picked up my hands and flung him to the wall. I pointed my fingers at him. All the sharp objects in the room flew to him. They pinned him to the wall.

"Dont speak shit about my mom" I then fell on my back and tried to regain my breathing. Once I felt like I could breathe I sat up."Clearly your still letting your emotions control your powers River" Josh said while untangling himself from the mess.

Me being an angel was meant to be a secret but what happened outside my house clearly told everyone.

"Yeah I know Josh. I just feel frustrated. For some reason Luka has been avoiding me and it's making me mad". Ever since the rock through the window he has been busy working.

"Hey Josh correct me if im wrong but a mate is a friend"? He burst out laughing. "No. A mate is a soul mate." I was shocked.

"S-so when Luka called me his mate he meant soul mates"?. He looked at me shocked. He clearly said something he shouldn't of.

I was angry. No I was livid. How could he keep such a thing from me?!

I ran to the house and into his office. He was on the phone, he put up a finger telling me to give him one minute. The nerve. I grabbed the phone and hung up for him.

"Wha-"

"When were you going to tell me that we're soul mates?!" I practically screamed at him. He was about to say something but was cut off by shouting and shuffling outside.

We both rushed out and found rogues. Once I got outside all eyes were on me.

"Give us the girl and there wont be any fighting". I snorted unlady like. "Why dont you just ask for me to come and stop speaking like im not here". Luka put a protective arm around me but I shrugged him off. For a second he looked hurt but then it disappeared.

"This is my territory. I suggest you leave." The rogues laughed

"Very well. We will be back for the girl". They all then left.

Once they were gone I rushed up to the guest room. I've been staying in the guest room for a couple of days. Luka didn't want me home alone. I began packing my bag.

"Where do you think your going?". I didnt notice him by the door. "Im leaving duh. I cant put you guys in any danger."

I picked up my bag and tried to walk past him but he blocked my path. "River you cant leave I need you here". I laughed a bitter laugh. "I dont understand you luka. I-", he cut me off. "I didnt tell you about the soul mates because I was first trying to protect you." I tried to push past him. He grabbed me and my whole body erupted in sparks. We stared at each other.

Then Luka did the most unexpected thing.
