I follow Nebula through the trees, wondering what I will find behind them. Maybe a few birds or squirrels, a raccoon or two, maybe even a fox. What I find is nothing like what I had imagined.

As my eyes adjust to the dim light in the clearing, I notice a few things flying around. Why don't they leave? I look up, trying to see them more clearly and figure out why it is so much darker in here, and notice the thick web of branches making up the canopy, blocking out much of the light.

What little light makes its way through reveals the most magnificent place I had ever seen, and ever would see, in my entire lifetime, real or otherwise. Majestic birds of all colors soar through the air, diving and turning at speeds I could never have even imagined. A creature like a tortoise, but with a bright purple shell and blue skin, walks at the edge of the trees. Foxes, but with gold, silver, and midnight black fur lope through the forest, ignoring any other creatures they encountered.  Their fur seems to shimmer, even where no sunlight touched their pelts. Then something cuts through the perfect silence and stillness inside my mind.

"You alright, Star?" I jump, slowly remembering that I am not alone in this place. I look over at Nebula, then smile softly. "Yeah, I'm fine. This place is awesome, though..."

He nods, a smile creeping onto his face. "Yes, yes, it is." His pride seeps into his voice. I know he loves this place.
