~ colby's pov ~

6:29 p.m.

I walked with Alyssa down the large pier, both of us looking for an someone to sell us ice. Suddenly, I felt a hand grab my arm.

"Who's idea was it?" She asked me, her eyes watering.

"Brennen's. It was extreme, I know. I'm so, so sorry. He's a douche . . ." I leaned in and hugged her.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, she buried her face in my chest.

"I-I forgive you." She giggled.

"Hey, there's a snow-cone place . . ." I pointed as we dispersed.

I bought a bag of ice from the shop. Alyssa and I walked down to the beach. The roommates sat there talking about who knows what.

Maybe the fact that they just gave Alyssa nightmares for days . . .

I tossed the bag of ice at Brennen's feet.

"Here." I said, nodding.

"Thanks . . ." Brennen replied.

"Hey," I glanced at Alyssa, still clutching my arm, then at Jake. "Jake. Can I have your car keys? Alyssa and I are gonna go back to the house."

"Um, yeah, sure. Just don't crash it."

He handed me his keys.

"Just don't hit it too hard." Brennen joked.

I gave him a stern look, knowing what he meant.

Alyssa got into the car, as did I.

"C'mon, I'm sor--"

The car door cut him off.

I started the engine, and drove down the street to the freeway. I was angry inside, but the sight of Alyssa made me soften.

so innocent . . .

I pulled up to our house. No one was home, according to the amount of cars in the driveway. Alyssa and I walked up to the front door. I unlocked it, my keys making a musical sound, jangling on my keychain.

I let Alyssa go in first. She politely took off her shoes at the door, walking into the living room. I followed.

Buddy jumped at my feet. I laughed, picking him up.

6:49 p.m.

We both sat on the couch. I snuggled up next to Colby, wrapping my arms around him. I was enveloped in warmth, feeling safe. Thoughts of the prank escaped my mind, now gone. He turned on the tv, letting a random station play.

He turned his head towards me, and put his hand on my cheek. Our foreheads touched, I could feel his warm breath on my cold lips.

"You're so beautiful . . ." He whispered, looking into my longing eyes.

He leaned in an inch, kissing my lips.

This kiss was different. It was . . . passionate, lustful.

I lay back onto the couch, the kiss never breaking. Colby propped himself on his elbows over me. I raked my fingers through his thick, brown hair. His hand slid down my back, down to the hem of my shirt. His hand went from my belly button to my cleavage.
