"What's cotton candy?" asks a confused Newt from the other room.

You chuckle before responding, "I think you would call it candy floss, it's spun sugar that basically forms a cloud." You pull your sun dress over your body, flattening out any wrinkles with your hands.

"Ah yes, candy floss, I've heard of it but I've never tried it."

"Well my friend," you start, opening the bathroom door and walking towards your bedroom, "You are in for a magical experience."

"Magical? What could be more magical than—" Newt, who was sitting on the front of your bed, looks up at you, his brows raised.

You can't help but feel self conscious as he looks you up and down. "You look... Wow," he says in awe but quickly shaking himself out of it, his cheeks tinted pink.

You blush, waving away his comment. There was nothing special about your outfit other than the fact that Newt has yet to see you in a dress. "You look pretty wow yourself," you laugh, trying to ease the attention he has put on you. "Let's go, we gotta be there early so we can go on all the rides."

Newt stands up, claps his hands together and follows you out the door and into your car.

Today you were going to take Newt to the local carnival. After he told you he'd never been to a carnival you did everything in your power to make sure that he would go with you this year.

When you arrive at the carnival you both are greeted by the fun atmosphere that consisted of many rides, games, and laughing children. Don't forget the occasional reckless teenagers.

What caught Newts attention first though, was the Ferris wheel. The big and brightly coloured wheel bordering the carnival.

"We need to go on that," he says, pulling you towards the ride.

"Woah, woah, woah. That, we need to save for last. It's the best feeling when the sun is setting and you get to the top and look down at all the lights and festivities of the carnival. Trust me, it's worth the wait." Newt sighs in defeat. "Plus, we cant do anything without tickets."

Once you and Newt buy as much tickets as you possibly can, you head towards some games first.

"I'm going to win that for you," Newt says pointing to a gigantic stuffed elephant hanging on the top of one of the ring toss games.

You snort at Newts ambition. "Sure, okay. These games are quite a lot harder than they look."

Newt gives you a smirk suggesting that he's willing to take that challenge and asks the man running the game to give Newt some rings. He hands Newt three small rings and tells Newt to try to get the rings around the middle bottle that was in the midst of twenty or so other bottles. Newt scoffs, taking this as an easy task and readies himself to throw.

His first throw misses completely, it wasn't even close to any of the bottles but more towards the wall of the booth. The second throw had been close to one of the bottles of the outskirts of the cluttered collection. The third and final ring of course, missed as well.

Newt turns around to you a sad look on his face. "I want to go again," he says angrily, with competition in his voice.

"This is our first game Newt, we need to save these tickets for all the other games."

"Please, Y/N? Just one more try?" he begs. You look over to the man running the booth and laugh, to which he laughs with you.

"Fine, just one more try." You hand the man another set of tickets and Newt once again gets ready to throw the rings.
